Feeling the gratitude…

“I can’t sneak and read your books at work anymore because you make me laugh too hard.”

“Your book kept me company while sitting at my mom’s hospital bedside and I’ll forever be grateful for the smiles you provided.”

“You don’t know this, but you’ve been there for me in a very tough year. Thank you for your warm, funny, sexy books.”

These are some of the letters I’ve received this year from readers showing their gratitude but the truth is, I’m the grateful one. Writing can be a lonely business but it’s nice to know I’m never alone, that readers are right there with me.

In my latest book Chasing Christmas Eve…

My heroine is a YA thriller author facing writer’s block and family overload. A few weeks before the holidays, she gets on a plane wanting a mindless getaway, knowing she’ll have to be back by Christmas Eve to wrangle in and care her chaotic family.. She’s hoping for a warm island beach, but due to hurricanes, ends up in San Francisco. After a shocking chilly dip in a fountain thanks to an overly enthusiastic dog, she meets techy genius Spence Baldwin, a guy who long ago learned to pick his work over love.

Neither of them can fall. They don’t have time. They aren’t even capable of falling, their lives are all about other things. But you know what they say about the best laid plans…

I hope Chasing Christmas Eve brings you some seasonal spirit. After reading it, you might want to pick up my novella Holiday Wishes. Why? Well, for one, it’s only $0.99, and two … it’s about fun time guy Sean O’Riley realizing he wants more than one night with a woman and he wants it with the one woman he can’t have – Lotti, who he walked away from years ago, breaking her heart. Oh boy does he have some making up to do…

Have a wonderful holiday season, my favorite readers! XOXO to each and every one of you!

  1. Gratitude is the feeling and attitude of appreciation or thankfulness for the benefits we have received or expect to receive. The feeling of genuine gratitude opens the channels for more goodness to enter into our life experience. I just loved this story! I have found this series to be consistently good so I was really excited to get my hands on this newest installment. I was even more excited to read this one once I discovered it would be Spence’s story since I have really enjoyed his character in the previous books in the series. I had pretty high expectations going into this book and it met or exceeded every one of them.
