TGIF

March 1, 2013 | Filed under: Stuff

I don’t know I say TGIF. I will be writing all weekend, trying to make up some time that I apparently lost when I wasn’t looking. But don’t feel too bad for me. Here’s today’s writing view:

IMG_2090

What, you were hoping for something different? Say another hot guy? Don’t deny it. I know you all are, I see my stats. Fine. I suppose I could post a naughty pic. Here’s one I don’t dare put up on Facebook or I might get grounded again.

You are welcome. Now before you go, tell us all what you’re reading, and if it’s good, bad, or eh.

    Very nice…very nice, indeed…

I picked up Beast Behaving Badly by Shelly Laurenston last night at Walmart. She’s a new author for me.
Fairly easy read, so far. Funny dialogue.
There are evidently a number of books before this one, so I’m kind of stumbling with the world details.

  84. Allie says:

I will be starting an audio today by Elizabeth Lowell. I love her stuff so I’m looking forward to it.

I’m in the middle of a (paper) book right now but it will be my last by this author. All her characters sound the same, talk the same, use the same words in conversations and thoughts, and she never puts any pets in her books, which I only just noticed this time. I think it is really weird that no character ever has a pet in her books. Even people living on a farm have no dog or cat? Really? It’s weird.

I hope to start the latest Guild Hunter book by Nalini Singh this weekend. Really looking forward to that. I am a huge fan of Nalini Singh.

  89. Taylor Bellitto says:

I’m reading Wait For You by Jennifer L. Armentrout. Not totally into the story but it’s cute so far. The back and forth banter is great.

  90. Kathleen O says:

I am reading Dream Eyes by Jayne Ann Krentz.. or I would be if I got on this compter..

  91. Marcy Lautanen says:

Nice picture….love the view….oh, the water and mountains look nice too :-)

  101. adnamA says:

    That photo is breathtaking!
    I mean BOTH :)
I am in a reading rut actually, have a stack I need to get back into, just recovering from Move exhaustion, so hope to start back into them now :)

  102. Judy S. says:

I’m re-reading Lucky in Love (because I am always happiest when I am reading a book by YOU!). I am also reading Kent Haruf’s new novel, Benediction. I have loved all of his others, and this one is also beautiful, although it isn’t touching me in the same way so far. I’m only about 1/3 through, though, so we’ll see.

  106. Michele says:

I haven’t had time to read a new book in over a week. I’m having withdrawals. I have however, started re-reading Lori Foster’s ‘Say No To Joe?’. Re-reading is great, because I can put the book down if I need to. With new books, I always seem to need to finish them in one sitting.

  107. Les says:

Finishing up Safe Haven this weekend so I can start The Best Man! Is it May yet, I miss Lucky Harbor!

  108. Margaret Taylor says:

I like the 2nd piccy better too Ms. Shalvis! Keep ‘em coming.

I’m not reading this weekend, but like you, writing. I have two subs out atm and one is only about 3 chaps in, so I’m working on it.

I did start For the Love of Hades last night by Summers (TWRP) but can’t seem to get fully into it. Love Greek Mythos though, so I’m not sure why I can’t.

Reading book one o the blue grass brothers series. I finished the first three bluegrass books and they were awesome! Would not mind a little more with the sexy stuff as they kiss one min and next min it’s the next day but still really good.

  111. Les says:

The Sinners series from Olivia Cunning! Hot!

  112. Donna M says:

    Beautiful pictures!!

I just finished reading Horse Soldiers, a non fiction about a very small group of Special Forces men that went into Afganhistan after 9/11. Tough read in some respects but also interesting. 114. Laure says:

I’m in the middle of Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves by Simon Green. It’s about as dismal as the poorly cast movie. So sad to not be in love with any version of Robin Hood, lol.

  115. Laura says:

Love a lawman and the friends to lovers meme is one of my favorites.

Jill – How about a repost of the hottie responsible for your getting kicked off of Facebook?

  141. Judy S. says:

Hi Mw, good idea to share recommendations!

I am relatively new to romance novels (started maybe a year and a half ago). Jill is top of my list because her writing is so good, her characters are dimensional, individual people I care about, she makes me laugh out loud, and the love scenes are so sexy (Jill, are your ears burning? :-) . I also like Robin Kaye, Erin McCarthy, and Louisa Edwards (set in the culinary world). I read a lot of mysteries, as well as “literary” novels. What do others here like?
