It’s not often I write a guy in a suit but he could change my mind.

Today’s MRI day for me, and I’m nervous. I have ADHD on the best of days, and lying in a machine for an hour all cooped up is going to be harder than going without cookies, or … Mr. Hot Guy above.
Anyway, I’m loading up my iPod to keep me company for the procedure. Which brings me to today’s question.
What’s on YOUR iPod?

Boner alert!!!
Posted on January 9th, 2013 at 5:18 amI have all kinds of music, but I’m in a late 80′s early 90′s vibe this week – Bon Jovi, OMD, The Cure…
Sandi in OH says:
Good luck with the MRI. My son will fall asleep during the test, have a seizure and then hit his head on the top of the tube. I just have George Strait, the BeeGees, Willie Nelson, Glenn Miller, among others on my MP3 player.

Hope everything goes okay today. You will do fine. On my iPod 95% of the music is hard rock or heavy metal. Avenged Sevenfold, Ozzy Osbourne, Parkway Drive, The Amnity Affliction, Disturbed, Rage Against The Machine, Korn. That’s just some of the bands/singers that I love.

Good luck with the test and may it go quickly with good results.

Good luck with the MRI. I have lots of different kinds of music on my smartphone. Pink, Adele, Foreigner just to name a few.

Lots of things but for sure 80′s and tons of one hit wonders from all genres and decades.

I always have to take a lorazepam when I go in the tube which I seem to do a lot of. I get claustrophobic. I helps take the edge off. Then that noise of the magnet sounds a bit like Pink Floyd!!

I had an MRI last year. I closed my eyes and drifted into a twilight sleep and was kinda annoyed when they were finished – just when I had gotten to the good part. Good luck to you
Writing about a ‘suit’ really is different for you, but I know you gonna make him spectacular. Think Roarke
I’m into rocking country music. Gotta love Carrie Underwood’s voice/Lady Antebellum/Sugarland/Taylor Swift and, of course, ALL those hot cowboys.

I don’t have an iPod
But I have been listening to a CD (a what?!) on the way to work of my new fave duo/band – Florida Georgia Line.
There’s a song on there that I’m sure is about driving, but it might be about sex.

My husband is an MRI tech. Don’t worry. They will take good care of you!
And my iPod is as eclectic as my bookshelf. Everything from Vivaldi to Smashing Pumpkins to Garth Brooks. Be sure to take a CD, too. Sometimes they give you sound deadening headphones and can pipe your music in for you that way. Good luck!

I have a little bit of everything from Neon Trees, Pink, Metallica, Nickelback, Katy Perry, and Celtic.
Good luck and I hope all turns out well.

I’m very ecclectic on my music, I love 90′s alternative (that’s my college music) but I’ve been in a pop and country mode lately too. I adore the band Snow Patrol. Good luck on the MRI, I have severe anxiety and phobias and do not enjoy them either, even with the good drugs they give me!

Leon Russell, Journey, Beatles, Adele, Tony Bennett, Whitney, Fleetwood Mac.
Posted on January 9th, 2013 at 8:24 amSue G. says:
A little bit of everything. I like country, pop. Just about anything except for rap.
Good luck with the MRI. I went for one once, freaked out and left. I then found an open MRI, where I could look out a window to the outside and listen to my music. Worked much better!

I have what I call a “Fun Time Mix.” It is filled with whatever songs (usually between 30 and 40) I am currently obsessed with. Right now that includes “Some Nights” by f.u.n.
Good luck with the MRI!

Good luck today! Have no worries…just let you mind wonder to insane scenes you can write in your book whether they are funny or intense just wait for it to play out!!!
And for what ever reason I just can’t get “Mr. Brightside” by the Killers off repeat! Just the line where he sings “It’s killin me..” puts an image of a guy in agony and desperation over the woman he loves…and there is no doubt in my mind you could take this idea and make an insane chapter in a book!!!

Florida Georgia Line and Rascal Flatts got me some country and I love that picture!

I relate to your feelings about those darn MRI’s. Just put yourself in your happy place, which most likely will include said picture above. Can always write the experience into an upcoming book which would include a steamy scene to take the heroines mind off the confind space. Good Luck to my favorite author of all time!!!

I don’t have an iPod. I like quiet. I do listen to music but usually only in the car.
Sorry you have to endure the MRI and the long wait it involves.
I am often content to sit still and read for long periods of time, but if the option to move is taken away, like while riding in a car, I become a wild-eyed crazy thing.

I have all kind of music on my MP3 player – depends on my mood.
Posted on January 9th, 2013 at 9:49 amHad an MRI – just close your eyes and concentrate on keeping your breath even and slow. I think people freak because so much has been made of it. Just relax and enjoy the fact that kids aren’t annoying you, your phone isn’t buzzing, etc… Enjoy the solitude and relax. Hope all goes well!

I thought I couldn’t live without it. Turns out….I can.

My current favorite is Rock Sugar, which is an 80s mash-up band (they blend 80s pop and hard rock amazingly well).

I think they should allow you to create your own slide show to watch during the MRI. I know it would make me feel a lot better. Good luck.
My IPod is quite eclectic with The Clash, Johnny Cash, Garbage, Pink, Concrete Blonde, Leonard Cohen, Ella Fitzgerald, Otis Redding, etc.

Good luck Jill…. I hate MRIs…. on my iPod, right now is all oldies, from when I was a teen…. guess late 50s and 60s. Other list is country… Carrie Underwood, Lee Brice, Casey James, Scotty McCreery, Alan Jackson, Martina McBride, etc… not really into rock or whatever the kids are listening to today…

Good luck today, I hope they don’t find a lot wrong. The MRI I had was an open one and it wasn’t bad at all. They are telling me now that I will have to have one done on my hip because they say it is worn out. Will find out in about a month I guess.

As for an MRI? Had a couple and my best friend was Ativan for those babies. No other way were they getting me in there!

Beatles (1960s), Simon & Garfunkel, Gordon Lightfoot, The Association, Crosby,Stilsl & Nash, Wicked, James Taylor,, Carole King, Norah Jones, Jim Croce, CHicago, Bread, & America. At least that’s all I can think of. There are some more current groups I’d like to add.

I’ve not taken my ipod in when I’ve had MRI’s, they always suggest bringing a CD and I take The Panel, it was an Australian show and they would have live artists on so it was a compilation of those performances….really good.
Take something relaxing. I close my eyes before I go in the tube and don’t open them again until I come out….but I always ALWAYS get an itchy nose!!
Good luck

I have severe ADHD every day, so I can relate to difficulty sitting still. My iPod is very eclectic. I have an older 30GB iPod and it’s stuffed full of MP3′s. Everything from AC/DC to Peter Paul and Mary to Will Smith. There’s some Run DMC, every Huey Lewis, Billy Joel and Garth Brooks album ever made, and a ton more. Oh and I can’t forget broadway stuff and movie soundtracks. Lots of those on there, too.

Posted on January 10th, 2013 at 8:50 pmI had a herniated disc that finally required surgery. Couldn’t walk and just wept because of the debilitating pain. Honestly, I felt relief as soon as I came out of anesthesia. I was able to touch my toes (again) after 12 wks of phys therapy. In other words, a success! I was terrified of having surgery, but worked with a terrific surgeon and acupuncturist–yep, an Eastern doc & Western doc who worked together to get me well–and have had no problems since. It’s been 15 yrs
Hang in there and I wish you the best of luck.

I like a man in a suit, but I’m not sure this man counts… He’s kind of popping out of his
I read this a bit late to wish you luck for the MRI, but good luck for the results. I hope they can help you with your disk problem and relieve your pain so that you can get back to writing a beautiful story for us, with or without the suit
