I just finished Can’t Buy Me Love by Molly O’Keefe – very angsty and definitely one of those that you either love or hate (I loved it). To balance it out, I read a very sweet and lighthearted self-pubbed Regency called Miss Isabella Thaws a Frosty Lord. The heroine is blind, and it’s a perfect little Christmas story.

Charlotte-Pride and Prejudice Continues.
Trying a little something from my other favorite genre. Aside from your and another favorite author’s short stories, the Christmas books this year were a big disappointment and have me frustrated. Looking to get back on track with good books for the new year.

I’m anxious to get into book 4 of the fatal series by marie force, but I can’t do this until I finish this book and it does not seem to hold my interest, but I’m going to power throught it. I hate to not finish a book. I’m halfway in so I think it may be picking up steam now.

Frisco’s Kid by Suzanne Brockmann. So far, so good. I try to concentrate but my brothers keep bugging me
. I love them but they obviously have a death wish to disturb me while reading a good book and I’m more than happy to be their fairy Godmother at the moment.
Posted on January 2nd, 2013 at 12:15 pmCrystal M says:
Reading Run the Risk by Lori Foster, and I’m not getting sucked in like I wanted to. Not saying it’s bad, ’cause it’s not…but it just isn’t holding my attention like her Edge of Honor series.
Posted on January 2nd, 2013 at 12:40 pmDonna M says:
Currently I am reading The Perfect Hope by Nora Roberts. Enjoying it thoroughly. Prior to that I read Protector by Catherine Mann, one of the Dark Ops series, liked it a lot! I also recently read Barefoot in the Rain by Roxanne St. Claire & My Kind of Christmas by Robyn Carr.
All good & all favorite authors! I like seeing what others are reading, not that I need to have more “favorite authors”!! Not sure what will be next.

Emotional Intelligence on audio. It isn’t great. The person reading the book sounds like a computer. Part 1 was a waste of time & paper where I think the author was trying to make it seem like a more scientic book. Part 2 was ok but redundant of other books in Business Psych type books and still hasn’t gotten on topic. Part 3 which starts in disc 5 and is nearly 5 hours into the book, shows some possibility of actually talking about Emotional Intelligence and its application, but I think the author can still screw it up (and me over) since there 6 more discs to listen to. I would have given up after the 1st disc but am reading it for a book club.
Also reading, Rescue My Heart by Jill Shalvis. Just starting chapter 7. At the moment, I thi I might be in love… With Milo.
