Thursday’s Thoughts and a giveaway

July 5, 2012 | Filed under: Stuff

Update: Randomly drawn winners are #34, 68 and 142. Email me!

Original Post:
First, I love each and every one of you. Why? Because AT LAST made the New York Times bestseller list yesterday — the print list, the digital list, AND the combined list. Also I made the USA Today bestseller list!

You are all awesome, and also you look beautiful today.

Two more things before I go. Here’s a pic of me doing a panel at ALA in Anaheim (American Library Association). I was with Susan Mallery and Tessa Dare. My first big panel, and my speech is a complete blur now but I survived!!

And last but not least, what are you all reading? Just for the heck of it, I’m giving away a copy of FOREVER AND A DAY to a commenter, so be sure to leave one.

Congratulations Jill! You deserve being on the bestseller list. I had a blast reading AT LAST. Im reading EL James Fifty Shades of Grey right now. Hot!

  2. MarcieR says:

Even your fellow panelists are intrigued with what you’re saying. How cool is that!

Today is the day my mailman Joe delivers my Amazon order. And guess what’s in it? AT LAST!!

Until then I am reading a Harlequin Superromance called Party of Three (it was pubbed in 2006).

  3. Julie says:

Congratulations! I really loved At Last. But now I don’t have anything to read.

  4. Rachel S says:

    Congratulations!! That’s quite the achievement!

I’m reading “Heir of the Dog” by Judi McCoy. I just started the series yesterday with “Hounding the Pavement.” It’s a mystery series involving small dogs. I love mysteries; I don’t like small dogs. We’ll see how into it I get. :)

  9. MaryAnne says:

Finished reading AT LAST on Tuesday and it was wonderful. The romance was great and your secondary characters are filled with quirky silliness.
I’m now ready the JUDY COLLINS books by Lori Armstrong. I read her MERCY books and they are very good.
So glad your library panel speech went well – you don’t look nervous at all and your fellow writers look very interested.

Right now I’m finishing Debbie Macomber’s “The Unexpected Husband” which is a re-release of two of her older books I hadn’t read yet. Next is Lucky Harbor. I have Lucky In Live, but really can’t bring myself to read it until I find Head Over Heels to catch up!!! A lovely relationship story, but, also, very in-depth interactions between members of their families. Trying to wait patiently for Forever and a Day!! Can’t wait even though Lucky Harbor will be over… that just means you’ll introduce us to a whole new world I hope! Hope it’ll be another family series!

Currently re-reading Maya Banks, McCabe Trilogy! Would recommend to anyone who likes Highlanders set back in earlier times…did I mention the romance and each was better than the last!

  138. Carrie says:

I’m just now getting to read At Last (just now, as it’s been out soooo long), but I’m eagerly awaiting Forever and a Day!

  139. Michelle Harlan says:

  142. Jen C says:

First of all, we love you too.

I’m reading Fifty Shades Darker (again) and anxiously awaiting Forever and a Day even though it means the last of the Chocoholics (when does your next book come out?).

  144. Alexa J says:

I’m reading the latest Sophie Kinsella book and am enjoying it.

  145. Tracey McMillen says:

Well, I personally think ALL of your books should be on any and all best seller lists because they are among the best reads out there. Who can top strong, funny heroines coupled with hot, sexy and beautifully flawed heroes? Not anyone with any good sense, that’s for sure. :)

Anyway, congrats. You definitely deserve it!

  146. Claudia says:

Congratulations :) You deserve it :) I’m currently reading Almost Perfect by Susan Mallery.

  147. Tracey McMillen says:

Oh, forgot what I’m reading! I just finished your book so I’m now starting the latest Christine Feehan book in the Game series that came out Tuesday.

  148. Rosie says:

Congratulations on all the lists! I am currently reading through a bunch of peer-reviewed scientific literature, primarily ecological, but also some pharmacological and medical. I’m also reading a couple of books that I have or will be assigning, in whole or in part, to my students this summer; they are both science-focused. In other words, I’m not reading a great romance novel . . .

  149. Brandy Bosquez says:

Just finished Rescue ME by Rachel Gibson, and on to At Last. I am trying to read slowly, but having a hard time. I love love love Matt. I cant say it enough and have on several other posts :) Thank you!!

  150. Rachel says:

OH hello, Dr. Scott! I just finished At Last today and I’m needing to play Doctor….

  151. Maritza says:

What am I reading- the newest by Loretta chase- scandal wears satin.
I’d love to get your latest-At Last. My sister has been feeding my crack addiction (your books) but she’s cut me off cuz her hubby cut her off (she’s over spent her monthly book allowance ). So please please let me win a copy. ;D

  152. Rita Spratlen says:

Would love to get my hands on your book!! Thanks for the chance. Thanks for sharing! Congratulations!!! Rita

  153. Leslie says:

Congrats on making the best seller lists–you are a terrific author.

I currently have 3 books I’m working on: George R. R. Martin’s A Storm of Swords Part 1–Steel and Snow (I got hooked on HBO’s Game of Thrones and missed the books when they were first released-I blame sleep deprivation from having young children at the time); Susan Mallery’s Summer Nights (just started this, but have been looking forward to it for non-frumpy librarian Annabelle-yes, we really do exist!); and Chloe Neill’s Some Girls Bite (book 1 of the Chicagoland Vampires series–I know nothing about this series, but it looked interesting so I checked it out from the library via Overdrive). I finished At Last on Wednesday–loved it and am eagerly awaiting the release of Forever and a Day.

  154. Jill A says:

Congrats on your MAJOR accomplishment!!! I’m reading the “Richmond Rogues” series by Kate Angell; love those baseball boys! 😉😉

  155. Kim matlock says:

Can’t wait to met you at RWA. I’m reading The Doctor Wears a Stetson, by Anne Marie Novark. I much rather be reading At Last or a book by Robyn Carr or Susan Mallery, but I exceeded by book purchase limit for two months.

  156. gmapeony says:

    Rats, missed by one. LOL.
    Congrats to the winners.
