The List

April 7, 2010 | Filed under: Stuff

We’ve discussed this before. The list of who you’d “do” if they came knocking on your door. Don’t try to tell me you don’t have one, at least in your head. My list doesn’t make much sense to anyone but me, and it changes ALL the time, but there are always two constants.

Matt Damon and
Ranger, aka Ricardo Carlos Manoso

The Matt Damon thing … I’ve loved him since he wrote and starred in Good Will Hunting. Yes, I realize he’s happily married with kids, but hey, so am I. (Matt, call me)

The Ranger thing I can’t explain. He’s a fictional character (Janet Evanovich) and he’s HOT. He needs no other reason to be on my list.

The others on the list come and go. Right now it’s Nathan Fillion from Castle … He’s big and almost goofy, but there’s something so innately … guy about him. Love him in everything he does.

Jason Bateman. Has a smile that won’t quit and a look in his eyes that says he knows what he’s doing. I like that in a man.

I read this list to Alpha Man and he nodded his head. He already is well aware of where he stands. Fifth.

How about you? Let’s hear your list. Go.

Update:
Ryan Reynolds! How did I forget him? Sorry Alpha Man, you’ve been bumped to sixth.

  1. Jinky says:

Real People: Neil Patrick Harris, Anderson Cooper, that guy whose name I won’t mention should he one day Google himself and find this post.

TV/Movie/Book people: Colonel Brandon, Duncan MacLeod, Dean Winchester, Frank Taylor, Wesley Wyndam-Pryce, that sock monkey from the Kia commercials (in an alternate universe where that sort of thing was OK, like with Avatar)

I understand the Ranger thing, but for me, what makes his character so appealing is how he relates to Stephanie, so you know, moodkiller. He is on my “People I’d Watch Shower if I Were Ever Invisible” list, though.

  2. Wendy says:

George Clooney has been #1 on my list for ever…I feel we just haven’t found each other yet but once we do…BAM!!

for the rest of the list we have Colin Farrell, Hugh Jackman, Patrick Dempsey, Sean Connery and Wentworth Miller…yummy!!!

  3. Stacy~ says:

I haven’t done this in awhile. Fun *g*

Okay it might be a bit of a man ‘ho (okay a major man ‘ho!) but Gerard Butler. That accent & brawny body makes me weak in the knees. Jon Bon Jovi, who I’ve loved for 25+ years. Denzil Washington, because of those beautiful eyes and sexy smile. Gary Allan (country singer) because he’s got this incredible sexy bad boy appeal and a soulful heart. Jensen Ackles from Supernatural – his lips are so distracting that I have many impure thoughts about them and he’s funny as hell on the show. I’d throw in Jared Padalecki at the same time, what the heck. 2 for 1 special ;)

Am I done? Cuz really, I got more…

  4. MJ says:

At the current top of my list is Sam Worthington, lately of Clash of the Titans. Then Gerard Butler, both of the Winchesters and Helo from Battlestar Galactica.

  5. Dru says:

Denzel Washington, a much younger Pierce Brosnan, Jeffery Donovan and Nathan Fillion.

    Roarke from “In Death” series

  6. Jo says:

Gerard Butler, The Winchester brothers, George Eads, Eddie Cibrian and Roarke..

  7. Erin says:

Always been a huge fan of Johnny Depp, we are getting married when we find each other. Next is Ryan Reynolds, very lickable and then yes Nathan Fillion but I’ve been a fan of his since Buffy/Firefly days but as Castle he’s so fun!

And am going to have to Google the Winchester brothers, I have no clue who they are. (This new baby thing I have going on keeps me a bit out of the loop, she is rather demanding but I love it!)

  8. tennismom says:

    Oh yeah. Great Post.
Jim Caveziel – Angel Eyes, Count of Monte Christo
    Gerard Butler – Ugly Truth
    Dougray Scott – Ever After
    Retired tennis player Patrick Rafter
Drake – book Dangerous Passion by Lisa Marie Rice

    Not in any order.

  9. Jennifer M says:

I totally understand the Ranger thing! He is at the top of my list! Next would be Ryan Reynolds.

  10. Jill Shalvis says:

Ryan Reynolds! How did I forget him? Sorry Alpha Man, you’re sixth.

  11. Tracy S says:

Yeah, my list changes a lot too.

Jill, I’m totally with you on the fictional Janet Evanovich character, except mine is Joe Morelli. LOL

Mark Wahlberg~apparently I’ve got a thing for Wahlberg men as his brother Donnie was my favorite New Kid on the Block when I was in high school (and boy that ages me doesn’t it?!)

    Nathan Fillion

    Michael Weatherly from NCIS

Sean Murray from MCIS (he’s a cute geek, I really can’t explain it LOL)

and this last one is embarrassing to admit, but there is just something about him: The Rock (Dwayne Johnson)

  12. Ronna says:

Ok top of my list is Roarke! Lucky Eve Dallas. I also wouldn’t turn away Josh Duhmel. Sigh – a girl can dream~!

  13. Susan says:

Andy Whitfield from Spartacus: Blood and Sand. Oh my. Fictional (book) character I would have to chose Roarke. Ranger is definately right there with him though.

  14. Jill says:

Ack! How could I have forgotten Roarke?

  15. limecello says:

Andy Whitfield. I’ll fight Susan for him. :P
Matthew Bomer. Bradley James. Santiago Cabrera. Christian Bale. Ryan Reynolds. Eric Bana. Henry Cavill! Richard Armitage.

Ok – I need to stop feeling like a hooorrr lol

  16. tennismom says:

Forgot my nre crush – Bradley Cooper

  17. tennismom says:

    sorry – new crush

  18. Monica says:

    Tim McGraw

  19. trish says:

I’m with Monica. Also, Jason Aldean. He is sooo intense!!

  20. Donna M says:

Tom Sellack has been on my list since he was driving that hot, red Ferrari in Hawaii!! Add in George Clooney, Henry Cavill (I just discovered him yesterday!), Harm from JAG, Nathan Fillion because I think he would be fun, Hugh Jackman because he is the yummiest & so very nice! Now that this is in my mind others are going to keep popping in. It is interesting to see who we each fantasize over. Add on Jerry Rice & Roger Craig, hotties from 49′er football when they were winning Super Bowls! Told you, they are just going to keep popping up in my mind.

  21. Elen says:

I might be feeling a little ho-ish today. All. Of. The. Above.

  22. Elen says:

    Amendment… C L I V E O W E N …

  23. mindy says:

    Oh fun!

Jon Bon Jovi totally tops my list. Has since I was 10 years old…so 22 years.

After that would be Mark Harmon, Thorsten Kaye (from All My Children), Hugh Laurie, Michael Weatherly and Brad Pitt (from when he was in Interveiw with the Vampire and Legends of the Fall).

  24. Deb says:

Ranger, absolutely #1. Also, LL Cool J. When my husband and I watch NCIS, I am always yelling at the tv, “Take your shirt off LL! It’ll make you feel better!”

I also agree with Nathan Fillion. So. Cute.

Don’t forget David Boreanaz (Bones). Or as I call him – MMMmmmmm David Boreanaz….

Oh, and how could I forget my newest crush – Apolo Ohno? Such awesomeness in such a deliciously-thighed package….*sigh* If it weren’t for the husband, kids, 10 year age gap and the fact that my idea of exercise is going to the store for Oreos, we’d be LIKE THIS.

  25. Ashley says:

    Carter Oosterhouse
    Chace Crawford
    Eddie Cibrian
    Josh Hartnett
    Paul Walker
    Adrian Grenier
    Vin Diesel
and a few of the others already listed! I guess I’m easy…

  26. JL says:

Erin, how the heck did you leave out Duncan MacLeod? ;-)

  27. Erin says:

    JL,

Crap, you are correct. Duncan is most definately number two after Johnny Depp. I could use a little Duncan therapy here soon. You?

    Erin

  28. Jane says:

Eric Bana, Christian Bale, Timothy Olyphant, Damian Lewis, Ben McKenzie

  29. Allie says:

Roarke and Ranger are definitely on my list. :) My husband’s list always includes Gillian Anderson. :)

  30. KC says:

    top three right now…
    Jeffrey Dean Morgan
    Chris Pine
    Gerard Butler

  31. MJ says:

HOW did I forget Jeffrey Dean Morgan? HOW? Can’t wait for The Losers!

  32. Lexi Connor says:

Brad Pitt (from Legend of the Fall days)
    Matt Damon
    Chris O’Donnell
Skeet Ulrich (from The Magic of Ordinary Days)
    Shemar Moore
The Rock (Tracy S, you’re not alone!)
Mark Wahlberg (when he was in Shooter)
    Paul Walker
    Eric Bana
    Rob Morrow (from Numb3rs)

  33. Lori says:

OK, I’m showing my age I guess but Fabio still does it for me. And Bret Michaels. If he would call me he wouldn’t need a fourth “Rock Of Love”!

  34. WendyG says:

    Antonio Banderas

  35. gilesmarie says:

Amen sister to Ranger! He is hot!!!

  36. Diana says:

    Ryan Gosling!

Jason Statham (he’d transport me to heaven. I know this)

Christian Kane (LEVERAGE…and he sings too!)

Darin Brooks (BLUE MOUNTAIN STATE…he played Aquaman on SMALLVILLE and now he plays a dumb jock on this risque show. Hi-larious)

    Matt Damon
    John Stamos
    Christiane DelFuente

David Tennant. Another one of my biggest celeb crushes

    Nathan Fillion
    John Krasinski
    Matt Damon
(all runners up to the Davids, but still definitely notable enough to mention)

  42. Marsha says:

Well George Strait has been and will probably always be my #1! There’s just something about those Wranglers, boots, and hat. Ok, I’m a cowgirl!

George would be followed closely by Nathan Fillion from Castle. He’s just so hot!

Next would be David James Elliot from his JAG days. Oh baby! Actually the first time I saw him I said oh my, he looks just like **** a close friend of mine. That cute little smile of his….and since **** is married to one of my best friends, I can’t lust after him! LOL

And any of the male characters in Robyn Carr’s Virgin River series, there’s something about those military men, it does it for me. LOL

And Mark Harmon…even better with age!

  43. Marsha says:

As I watched the Academy of Country Music awards last night, I realized I left out one MAJOR contender for my list! Matthew Mcconaughey. Whew! All that man would have to do to convince me is say something. I LOVE that voice! Not to mention that he’s just HOT!
