Spring, where are you …?

March 31, 2010 | Filed under: Stuff

Got a foot of snow yesterday and it’s still coming down. Been shoveling.

Jake hasn’t quite gotten the hang of staying out of the way.

Ashes found a stick that she was very proud of.

Until Jake stole it …

He does that. Steal things. Shoes, papers, wallets … he’s not choosy. Here he is, coveting my cookies.

Sorry, Jake. I don’t share with puppies who steal my ski boots and then lick my face with the same tongue that was just used in a place that is not to be mentioned!

No matter how cute you are.

  1. Kate Hardy says:

Oh, bless him – y’know, he looks so HAPPY. If he gives you back even 1% of the joy you’ve given him, you’ll have a wonderful time with him.

Still grinning about his klepto tendencies. Mine steals shoes, teddy bears and clothes. Not to chew, just to cuddle!

  2. Judy F says:

He is adorable. How can you say no to that face?

  3. Stacy~ says:

Those big eyes are killing me! Killing me! So adorable.

Btw, I posted my review of Instant Temptation yesterday :)

  4. Pat L. says:

Can’t believe you got all that snow. You can make an Easter Snow Bunny! Have some hot chocolate and cookies to warm you p.

    Puppy is so cute.

Loved I.T. by the way; another winner.

  5. tennismom says:

ROFL. I can’t believe you resisted getting a puppy.
You are in love & so are we.

  6. Liza says:

I would have to give in to those puppy dog eyes. You are one tough cookie. Jake is just too cute for words.

  7. Joan Woods says:

Hi Jill, loved the pictures. Snow is pretty to look at but glad I don’t have to live with it anymore. I prefer sunny Florida. Love your books. I wish you a warm sunny summer and soon.

  8. Ashley says:

Cute pics! I have to say, I would’ve had to give in and give him a cookie. I mean look at that face!

  9. limecello says:

Awwwwwwwweeee. Jake is so cute :D
And … gah all that snow. Sorry Jill, but I hope you keep all that stuff to yourself. Or, limit the sharing to pictures :X

  10. JV says:

So adorable! I would totally give in and share the cookie (unless, of course, it was chocolate — not good for puppies!). They are both so precious! It’s making me want to go over and give mine a squeeze. It’s okay, though. She’s used to it!

  11. mindy says:

*cuddles Jake and Ashes* He’s so beyond cute. I want him!

Not to rub it in but here, in cottage country in Central Ontario, it’s supposed to be 22 and 25 degrees (so in the 70′s converted…) on Thursday and Friday. It’s about time we had some warm weather.

  12. Alex says:

it’s been a while since i’ve been on and you have a new fur baby! sooooooo cute :) .

I also notice you’ve updated your ‘books’ section. it looks like the next baseball novel is no longer on the cards???? please, please, please write another one…i really thought Gage would get his own book :) ….

i’m about to start reading instant temptation. Very excited :) .

  13. Joanne says:

Awwwwwwww…great pix.Spring has finally come to eastern Nebraska after having 94 straight days with snow of at least two inches on the ground. This week it’s been in the high 70′s but Friday high won’t even reach 60*.Gotta luv the sunshine though. ;-)

  14. Donna M says:

Sorry you are getting all that snow but it makes for beautiful pictures. Jake is really cute with snow all over him! Hope he didn’t bring it inside with him.

I can’t wait to pick up Instant Temptation.

  15. Lori says:

Gosh, he is soooo cute! And while you may be sad about the extra foot of snow, I’m ecstatic, because we’ll be up in Tahoe starting on Friday night through Wednesday for our annual spring break trek to Alpine Meadows. Yay snow!

  16. Brandy says:

Jake is so cute. Hope Ashes didn’t mind the stick stealing so much!

  17. Allie says:

Look at that huge smile on Ashes’ face. Looks like she loves that silly puppy! :) Jake is completely adorable.

I sure enjoy your pictures of snow. I did not get any snow over the winter at all.
