Is it spring yet?

March 1, 2010 | Filed under: Stuff

The answer is no. Is it warm yet?

Dammit, no. It is not warm yet. I dream fondly of a hot sun and sand between my toes…

So does Ashes.

Oh and question of the day. We were watching Amazing Race last night and Alpha Man said it would be fun to do that show. I nodded vaguely and kept my panic to myself. No. It would not be fun to do that show with Alpha Man. I’m fairly certain we wouldn’t survive it. One of us would kill the other. So here’s my question. Think of the person closest to you, whoever that may be. Could you do Amazing Race with that person? Without killing them?

  1. Judy F says:

I love the Amazing Race. DVR last nights show but there is no way I could do it esp anything that had heights in it. I would either be killed by my partner or kill them

  2. Stacy ~ says:

Not a fan of reality t.v., nor do I think I could be around someone constantly like that LOL. We wouldn’t make it very far.

  3. Pat L. says:

I have only watched that show once. But no one of us would kill the other one. I would love to see you and Alpha Man do it though!

  4. Ginny says:

I can barely make it through a weekend when we’re both home. Nope, no Amazing Race.

  5. Erin says:

I always have wanted to do that show. I asked my ex husband if we should do it together. He calmly answered: “No because we wouldn’t have any fun doing that together.” Yeah, guess there is a reason he’s the ex. He might not have had fun with me, but I’d sure like to give it a try. And yes we most likely would have fought the whole time, but doing it on another person’s dime would have been ok with me.

  6. Ashley McLure says:

Couldn’t do it with hubby, but I could do it with one of my best friends..

  7. Sarah says:

My husband and I could do it. We’ve been married 17 years and work together everyday. Surprisingly, we’re still friends. Does that mean we wouldn’t bicker through the whole show? Of course not. ;-)

  8. Liza says:

I wouldn’t be able to do The Amazing Race. I do have a friend and her brother who would be perfect. They would be favorites because people would keep watching to see if they killed each other.

BTW, how did Middle’s team do this weekend?

  9. Kelly B says:

Not even for a million dollars!

  10. WendyG says:

My husband and I love watching Amazing Race, but we both agree there is no way we’d be on that show! Not because we couldn’t get along, but because we’d rather watch than participate! ;)

  11. Natasha A. says:

Couldn’t do it. If one of us weren’t dead, at the very least our marriage wouldn’t last… lol

  12. D says:

Not A snowballs chance in hell!!!! Wouldn’t even make to the first destination before his body parts were fertilizing a field somewhere(lol).

  13. catslady says:

Absolutely not – my husband has no patience. I tried watching the show first season but so many people were screaming and yelling at their partners that I figured I get enough of that myself to want to listen lol.

  14. AZ Colleen says:

The person I’m closest to is an Ironman; I’m a squishy gal who loves her chardonnay and has major food issues (textures can gross me out). The answer would be a big fat giant “NO!”. I think we’d get along ok, but I’d probably drop dead shortly after the first sprint to an airport gate.

  15. Erika says:

Nope. Not at all, but thanks for asking.

  16. Ashley says:

Yeah, can’t see that happening. My hubby and I would not survive.

  17. Donna M says:

Since I am a Single without a partner, just an ex, I can’t see it ever happening. I’m not a lover of reality shows but watch Dancing With The Stars & The Bachelor, that is not reality!!! I’ve never watched The Amazing Race, Survivor or many of the other “Reality” shows. Just not my cup of tea.

Please tell us about Middle’s tournament this weekend.
Love your pictures. You should visit my part of the world it is more spring like. But not today, looks like rain.

  18. Susan says:

I’ve never seen the show, but my husband and I can’t even put in a new window without him getting grumpy and me wanting to throw a hammer at him. Don’t think it would happen.

  19. Brandy says:

No way in Hades. I would end up killing my hubs. And going to jail in a foreign country. No thanks. *G*

  20. Kristina C says:

That answer would be a giant NO! LOL My husband is the competitive type that says he isn’t. I am absolutely horrible at everything to do with races. So he’d want to push him off a bridge. I don’t think we’d get past the first part.

  21. Amy L says:

    Not a chance! LOL!

  22. Stephanie P. says:

Yes, i think i could do The Amazing Race with my little sister. But, we wouldn’t be able to. She’s handicap. But still, i would love to do the Amazing Race with her.

  23. Jennifer M says:

    No way!
    Love the pictures!
How did Middle and her team do?

  24. Tracy S says:

Our whole family loves The Amazing Race. My hubby moves fast when playing sports, that’s it. For the rest of life he kind of “ambles” through. I’m usually out of the car and into the store before he has even closed his car door. I wouldn’t have time to kill him b/c we wouldn’t make it past the first week. LOL

  25. tennismom mary g says:

My sign on tells you the extent of how much I can rough it. Unless I was roughing it with Tarzan & 50 boy scouts to do the work it ain’t happening.

  26. Diana says:

Oh my gravy, I’m fairly positive that I couldn’t do The Amazing Race with the person closest to me. Oh my gravy, no! Can you tell that I’m enjoying Jet and Cord on the show? :)

  27. Stacie says:

There is no way I could do amazing race with my hubby. We just about kill each other on a regular day. I tend to cry when I get stressed, and he walks away when I cry. So from day one, we would lose.

  28. Shiloh Walker says:

This is so totally off topic but I’m kind of green over the scenery you have….

  29. Ange says:

I could so do this with my cousin except we would find a really great place to eat and then go shopping and forget all about the race. That’s just how we roll.
