Under the weather

February 10, 2010 | Filed under: Stuff

The flu got me.

Damn kids. Breathing on me and all …

So while I’m prone on the couch, thought I’d leave you with these mysterious snow bundles from my snow shoe hike yesterday so we can all be pondering Mother Nature’s sense of humor …

This one looks a little like a dog, I don’t know why. Maybe it’s the fever, lol … Or the Nyquil, which I took by accidental instead of Dayquil. Should be a fun day…

  4. Stacy ~ says:

Yeah, I think some of that snow on its way to Judy’s landed on my doorstep. Like Judy, I cannot accept such a…gift. You can have it back. No srsly, keep it!

Feel better hon! Don’t work too hard. We want you all better so you can come out and play!

  5. lisa s says:

Take care of yourself I hope you feel better soon. As for the lovely gift you seem to have shared with us all, I really must decline. Now to figure out ho to return it.
Seriously, with all the snow stories you have shared I’m thankful we didn’t get more. Of course, we did get an earthquake to go with it!

  6. Jennifer M says:

I hope you feel better soon.

Like the others, I too, do not want this gift!
It looks much nicer in your photos!
And the last one does look like a dog!

  7. JoyceZ says:

I think the snow would be easier to take if my back yard looked like yours. Feel better Jill.

  8. limecello says:

Poor Jill – I hope you feel better! As for all the snow and other comments… no thanks for you sharing it. Although maybe my deluded self should stop hoping we won’t get snow considering past winters…
And agreed – the last picture does look like a dog. It has the face of a basset hound. :P Maybe I should mention I’m sick too… though not drugged up O_o

  9. Pat L. says:

Yes, It does look like a dog with floppy ears. The first pix – middle thing looks an elephant with his head hanging down.

    Feel better.

Sorry to hear your sick. Take care of yourself, nyquil
sounds good to me. My condolences to all of you in the midwest and northeast. We’re actually looking for snow, the skiing isn’t the best and the Olympics are going to be a little bleek without it! Love the pics!!!

  20. Karin says:

Aw, Jill, I’m sorry you’re sick. I’m wishing you a speedy recovery so you can go on more snowshoe hikes and share more funny pictures.

    Jill.

Seriously. Ya’ gotta stop sending me this snow. I have 3 boys in the house with me and they have been to school once in the past 10 days. And now we just got a call that they have no school yet again today. And it’m my birthday. Nice.

2yo spent all 10 days coughing on me, so I have crud too. I feel your pain.

Seiously though, I hope you feel better and that you can kick all those hormones out of your house to shovel :o Hugs!

    Cindy in VA

  28. Steph says:

Record breaking-ly snowy winter. I don’t think I’ve ever spent so much time shoveling. Gah!
