Can I get you something, some cookies, some chips … some Midol perhaps? Because Mother Nature, honey, sweetie, baby … I love ya, but I need some sun.

You see this house, Mother Nature? Do you? It’s where I’m currently holed up with too many teenagers, all with hormones and too much estrogen.
It’s where I’m going to lose my mind if you don’t bring sun.
So. I’ll be right here waiting. Don’t let me down, Mother Nature. Or I’m sending the teenagers up to hang out with you for awhile and see how you like it.
Sincerely,
Snowed In With Too Many Kids

I feel for ya! I feel like I’m wasting away without the sun. I have no energy for much. Thank God I have nothing big planned this weekend, so I can just curl up with some good books

Thanks a lot, Jill. Apparently she decided to dump some of the white crap on us now. We’re under a Storm Warning, the schools just cancelled (even though it’s not snowing yet!) and I’m telling you, if I get stuck at work there will be bloodshed.

Honestly Jill, you should have sun shortly. I think you sent the snow to Virginia. We got 10 inches last Saturday, 3 on Tuesday and this weekend up to 30″…..
I think my boys will now be in school until July if they keep missing so much school
Mother Nature can kiss my ticked off patootie!

Posted on February 5th, 2010 at 9:42 amWe are supposed to get snow tomorrow, so far they’re saying a foot (let’s hope not). I think I’m prepared, I have all baking essentials (for cookies, brownies, etc.) and my copy of Slow Heat!

Evidently, Mother Nature is really pissed about something because we’re getting it on the East coast, too.

To Jill and all of you getting that nasty white stuff I send my condolences, so is this a bad time to tell you we are experiencing warmer than normal temps and are going to see sun this weekend.

I can only try to understand what it is like to have that much snow. That is a beautiful picture of the house hiding under all that snow.
If it helps I’m wishing you sun.
Everyone have a good weekend rain, snow or sun.

oh, I hear you. I could use some sun right about now too…I’m trapped in the house with small children…

I would be stuck in the house too if there was that much snow around. I could really use a sunny day right now. We only have rain, but it has rained for 2 days straight.

It’s pretty, but I hope you get sunshine soon.
If nothing else, though, congrats on the great review of Slow Heat over at Dear Author!

Jill,
My recommendation for a snowed-in day is to curl up with a good Jill Shalvis book, like “Double Play” maybe. Loved Pace Martin so much I could eat him with a spoon!
