Why Monday’s suck golfballs

February 1, 2010 | Filed under: Stuff

Because snow sticks to the head and a certain dog owner thinks it’s much more fun to laugh and point than to brush it off.

Because snow is effing heavy.

Because SOMEONE has to block Middle, and with a 24 point average, that can’t be easy.

You?

(p.s. WINNERS from last week’s post by random.org … #4, #27, #54 … email me with your snailmail and a few book choices. Congrats!)

  1. Edie says:

Is Middle getting a chinese burn there?

  2. Stacy ~ says:

Because of having to get up so freakin’ early in the dark when it’s frickin’ freezing outside!

But, I am a bit happier since I got my copy of Slow Heat yesterday! Woo hoo! It’s next on my list.

  3. Judy F says:

cause its cold out and I wanna stay in bed. Plus I have an evil boss

  4. Cindy in VA says:

because I don’t remember when the last time my kids had a FULL week of school. They are out again today becaue we got 10″ here in Charlottesville and the county doesn’t feel it’s necessary to plow our neighborhood, so we have packed snow on the streets from cars = huge chunks of ice.

So now I have 3 boys home with me alone all day and a hubby that got to escape to work.

I think I may chuck them out of the house for some snow time pretty soon!

  5. Christina T. says:

Well I have to say today does not suck, b/c yesterday we had my birthday party from my inlaws and I got a BN gift card and I pre ordered Slow Heat. SO for that fact I am pretty happy today!!!!

  6. Deb says:

Because all the things I had to do on the weekend did not get done after all. Apparently watching HGTV all day in jammies and eating cookies does not accomplish anything.

  7. tennismom mary g says:

Becuase I feel awful & already missed 2 days of work last week. I was fine for a few days & then kapow yesterday & today are yuck. BUT Middle’s action shot cheered me up (even if they are trying to block her).

  8. Jinky says:

Because the company I used to work for refuses to update my address on file; because without updating the address I won’t get my W2; because without my W2 I can’t file my taxes… or my FAFSA; because without filing my taxes I won’t get my return; because without my return I can’t buy books for school…

Ah, well. It’ll all work out in the end. On the plus side, the snow has melted down and now I can see my car. Huzzah!

  9. bonita says:

I’m with Deb on this. You’d think after 50 years I would have figured out the cause-and-effect, but nooo!!!!

  10. Karin says:

Because it means there are 4 more days after Monday before the weekend. *sigh*

  11. D says:

It started out sucky(It’s Monday need I explain), but then I found out I was a lucky winner in your last contest..so turning out to be an ok day.(And it only took me 3 tries to send the email..one of my best efforts ever..)

  12. Ang says:

I agree with Karin..4 more days until the weekend and because I let my hubby drag me to the gym this morning. :| On the plus side..I get Slow Heat for my ipod e-reader tomorrow.

  13. Donna M says:

Since I am retired Monday, so far, is not sucky! We are getting some light rain but that is okay as compared to some areas this is nothing!

Yesterday I went to Border’s, coupon in hand, but no Slow Heat on the shelf. Next time I go it is sure to be there!! I’ve blown any kind of book buying until later this month!! Since it was the last day of January I was just hoping they might have it early.

Congratulations to the winners of Jill’s books.

  14. Nancy says:

Love the fierceness of Middle’s expression!!

  15. Carrie says:

It was a sucky Monday but I just got Slow Heat and am already hooked on the first chapter. Good LORD is Wade HOT HOT HOT.

  16. WendyG says:

Today hasn’t been “sucky” at all. I think people are getting wiser and hitting me with all the problems on other days! ;-) Besides, after midnight Slow Heat downloads to my Kindle.

  17. Liza says:

Monday is sucky because I would have liked to stay in my warm bed rather than get out in the freezing cold. No fair the schools were closed because of snow and I had to go to work. On a happy note, my copy of Slow Heat will be at my office tomorrow.
