A very special I Love Lucy text

November 19, 2009 | Filed under: Stuff

From Oldest (in her sophomore year at UCLA):

“My professor just asked if anyone has ever lit their farts on fire, because we’re learning about methane. I started laughing and everyone just stared at me. Lecture class of 250 …”

Poor thing. Of course she started laughing. She was raised by a wolf, aka Alpha Man.

We sent her away to college to get educated, and what she’s learning is that her family is a little crazy…

  1. Stacy ~ says:

LOL! Poor kid. Had to find out the hard way *g* Oh well, what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger. She survived the lit farts, after all…

  2. Judy F says:

Oh the poor girl. LOL too funny

  3. Terry L. says:

    Better crazy than boring.

  4. tennismom says:

She’s learning that her family is normal LOL.

  5. limecello says:

That’s so funny – and… I have to say I’m a little surprised shes the only person who laughed.

  6. Ashley says:

I totally would have been lmao!!

  7. Liza says:

    I would have laughed too.

  8. Melissa says:

Oh come on now. We know the others would have laughed too if they had not wanted to appear oh so intellectual. My aren’t they all so grown up. Lighting farts is a classic comedy routine. Just ask Bevis and Butthead!

  9. Amber says:

lol That seriously reminds me of my brothers when they were young. We even have pictures of them with the lighter..lol.

  10. D says:

Hey, what’s wrong with being crazy?

  11. Donna M says:

Aren’t you glad she has a scholarship?!! Imagine paying for that education!!

Thanks for another happy morning moment!

  12. Brandy says:

You know she’s going to be stopped outside of class and questioned, right? *G*

  13. Kathy from California says:

So, my question is, did she follow that up by taking over some buildings along with her fellow students, to protest the fee hikes? Kind of crazy times at UC. My senior daughter (high school) is really looking at UCLA and UCSD so I’m watching all this with very attentive eyes….

  14. Karin says:

LOL I would’ve been laughing right along with her.
