Original Post:
Okay I’ve been a very bad blogger. I messed up the last contest and never named a winner. I have lots of excuses. I was trying to finish a book. I have five teenagers in the house, all hormonal and all PMS-ing. My sweats are too tight …
But the bottom line is I let you down. And now I owe you. So I will draw FIVE names from all the people who comment today, and I will PROMISE to do it by weekend’s end. I’ll mail those five the book of their choice from my backlist.
In the meantime, before you go off for your weekend, can you let me know a few things? First, the last book you read. Second, the last book you LOVED. And third, what’s the next book you intend to buy, if you know it.
Inquiring minds would like to know.
Now go forth and have a great weekend. Oh, and fyi, I don’t recommend two chicken enchiladas and three margaritas, and then yelling and cheering and jumping up and down at a football game, and then two chocolate bars and a brownie, AND a trip to the hottub. Trust me on this.

Also liked a lot The Leisure Seekers by Michael Zadoorian…a book clubbie type of book best enjoyed by readers over a certain age. It sure gives a reader something to think about.

Hey Jill,
All is forgiven….of course additional books helps
The last book I read was A Highlander’s Temptation by Sue-Ellen Welfonder, first book I read of hers and sadly have to say she is just not for me.
The last book I loved was Rocky Mountain Heat by Vivian Arend. It is a relatively short book (80 pgs), but loved it. Had everything I love in a romance, and was a good start to a new series. I don’t know how she fit all of that into 80 pgs, but she did it well. Will definitely be watching for the rest of the series.
The next book I intend to buy (actually just ordered 3 yesterday) were Tucker’s Claim, and Caleb: The Shadow Wranglers by Sarah McCarty, and Pleasure and Purpose by Megan Hart. And just put Instant Temptation on my TBB list

Dear Bad Blogger:
In answer to your latest request, here goes.
1. Last book read was Black Hills by Nora Roberts.
2. Last book that I LOVED and I mean LOVED was Natural Born Charmer by Susan Elizabeth Phillips. I loved this book so much that when I got to the end I was so sad it was over that I flipped back to the beginning (pre kindle days) and started the book all over again.
3. The next book I plan to buy is the next one that catches my eye as I peruse the kindle book selection at amazon. I am a book junkie. I can’t help myself. I would tell you I can stop at any time but I don’t want to. I get to spend my weekends at the beach reading my kindle, really, who would want to give that up?

I’ve been reading a lot of Harlequin Intrigue lately. My mom’s house was repossessed and she didn’t have enough room for her collection, so she gave them all to me. Sadly, I don’t think they are that great for the most part AND it’s all I’ve been reading for quite awhile now, so I’m rather sick of it. I couldn’t even tell you what the last book was, and nothing jumps out at me as good.
The last book I really ENJOYED was the Wilder one that you wrote. The first one in the series.
I don’t get to buy books very often because that takes money and I don’t have any. I am not sure what I’ll end up buying.

i’m surrently in the middle of book 4 of the vampire diaries that were written back in 91 and LOVE them. the next book i plan to buy is the 5th one which came out a couple months ago and the next 2 come out next year. I’m super excited. they’re by L J Smith and they just start a tv series on the cw based on them (somewhat loosely) but i’m loving the show AND the books so its all good. I’ve actually noticed a lot of stuff that Stephenie Meyer “copied” from these stories. i use the term loosely becase i have no idea if she ever read them, i just know they came out way before the twilight saga ever did and there’s a LOT of similarities but the stories are totally different. anyways she has the first four books re-released in the form of 2 book in 1. so you only need to buy 2 books to get the full 4 books and they cost about 8.99 so i felt like i got 2 free books lol.

Your too much. Our days are always brightened by you, whether you give something away for free or not.
I last read the third book in the Sookie Stackhouse series, True Blood. Alot different from the show.
So, I believe it was Lori Foster who highly reommended Kressley Cole, so I bought one of her books and I do not think I can finish it. Too raw, violent and just too much.
Not sure what I’m reading next, but there will be no vampires or werecats or any other non human in it. It will be strictly romance, happily ever after.

Second, the last book you LOVED– The Madness of Lord Ian Mackenzie, by Jennifer Ashley.

The last book that I read was Kiss An Angel by Susan Elizabeth Phillips, which I also happened to really enjoy. I didn’t know if I could get into a story with a circus setting, but SEP hit another home run with this book. The next book that I intend to buy is Meg Cabot’s Allie Finkle’s Rules for Girls: Stage Fright or Kathy Griffin’s autobiography.

AMY M.
My daughter has been struggling with postpartum cardiomyopathy for about 18 months now. She was on the heart transplantlist early this year. They have since taken her name off the list. That does not mean it won’t go back on in the future. She is 22.
Please email me, I would love to hear your story and how you are getting by. How old is your daughter. What are the doctors doing. etc.
Please email me a pommymommy2@yahoo.com Please!!

Duh…have to correct my last book I loved entry…The real title is BLACK AT HEART by Leslie Parrish. Last of a trilogy that consisted of Fade to Black, Pitch Black and Black At Heart and actually I loved them all and hope she will write more in this series……maybe the next one should be called Back In Black.
If you love romantic suspense then you should give them a try.

I tend to go through stages – a very long book stage followed by a TV stage, it’s all very cyclical. Right now I’m in the throes (though probably nearing the end) of the TV stage so Buffy and Bones are where it’s at, though I know those aren’t books.
The last new book that I read was probably Private Arrangements by Sherry Thomas, which I absolutely loved. More recently, I’ve re-read Jennifer Crusie and Bob Mayer’s Agnes and the Hitman, which is one of my favorites.
Right now, because I’m still involved with my TV characters, I’m reading history books because I can usually read them more casually – pick up and put down occasionally – than I can read fiction. So now it’s Sex With Kings, which is about royal mistresses and the like.
I think the next book I buy may be Nora Roberts’ second installation of her wedding planner series, though the name escapes me at the moment. Haven’t decided yet – I make better book buying decisions when I’m in my book phase, which I am 2/3 of the year.
