Got a nice email:

“Your book has received a CTRR (Coffee Time Reviewer’s Recommend Award) from Coffee Time Romance & More. This award recognizes outstanding writing styles in all book types and genres. Your book has received this award because I feel it is above and beyond a 5 Cup Rating.”
I could use more of these emails, especially on a Monday!
Here’s the review:
INSTANT GRATIFICATION
JILL SHALVIS
ISBN: (13)9780758231253/(10)0758231253
Fiction: Contemporary Romance
Rating: 5 Cups
Dr. Emma Sinclair is ready for her stint in Wishful, California, to be over. Being a prominent ER doctor in Manhattan, she is used to the fast-paced, living on the edge life she lived in the Big Apple. But now that her absentee father has had a minor heart attack, Emma came to run his Urgent Care practice until he feels up to going back to work.
Stone Wilder is part owner of Wilder Adventures. As a guide, he takes clients on the adventures they crave, from cliff biking, to kayaking, to mountain climbing. You name it and he can do it; but sometimes accidents happen as well.
Emma is getting ready for another slow time in the city of Wishful, when in walks TJ Wilder supporting his brother, Stone. After treating his scrapes and bruises with less than ideal bedside manners and an eyeful of a very hot body, Emma finds herself attracted to her patient, which is something she is not used to. Trying to fight that attraction is not easy and once Stone puts on the charm, there is no use fighting it. But will her heart hold out once her father gets back to the clinic and she goes back to her life in New York; or will Stone be able to convince this city girl that sometimes life in a small town can be very fulfilling in many different ways?
Instant Gratification is the second book in a series about the Wilder brothers; however, it can be read as a standalone. Ms. Shalvis pits a wise cracking, adventuring, meandering man against a cool, always on the go, organized woman who keeps everyone at a distance. Stone amazes me because even though you would think he is this egotistical alpha male, he has instead, a very soft and tender side that is willing to risk it all for the woman he loves. Emma is the type of person who just does not know how to unwind and relax enough to see that there are people around her who are eager to accept and love her for who she is. With some sexy scenes that had me drooling (especially in the lake), a carefree hard body and a cautious woman, this is one novel you do not want to miss, and I for one cannot wait for the next book in the series!

What is wrong with you Joan? What do you mean, you haven’t read any of Jill’s books yet. Get to the bookstore girl. You are sooo missing out.
P.S. Just between you and me, I’m guessing that authors would prefer not to hear the line, “I haven’t read any of your books yet!” At least I know I would feel that way if I were in Jill’s shoes.
Good Job, Jill.
