I Love Lucy Does Cosmo
August 20, 2009 | Filed under: Stuff
First of all, things I don’t recommend, and all things I did yesterday:
Going straight to a nice restaurant right from a swim at the beach so that when you pull your shirt on over your wet bathing suit, your boobs make two big imprints for everyone to see.
Eating a bunch of bowl of grapes and then a row of Hostess chocolate donuts. See, the grapes blow up in your stomach, get all soaked up in the chocolate, and then you have to lie on your coach for an hour crying “shoot me”.
Forgetting to pay attention to your gas tank.
Put a soda can in the freezer to make it cold quick, and then forget about it until it explodes. Everywhere.
(But there is good news! I’m going to be excerpted in the November issue of Cosmo, or rather Instant Gratification is going to be, as a part of their Red Hot Reads program! Cool beans, right?)
(And in additional good news, I’ve been nominated for a Book Blogger Appreciation Week Award in the category Most Humorous/Funniest Blog.)

You are a hoot!
Congrats on the good news. And what a surprise, funniest blog? Who would have guessed???? Not!
I needed a laugh this a.m. as my stupid Dodgers lead keeps dwindling.

Did you find out about the Cosmo thing while suffering the stomach ache? That should have made your feel a bit better. Why mix grapes and chocolate? Sounds kind of icky.

I always did wonder if a soda would really explode if you put in the freezer. I’d heard about that but did not quite believe it…
Thank you for being the one, instead of me.

Sorry for all of the lessons you learned the hard way.

Let’s look on the bright side, Jill. When you went to the restaurant with the wet shirt, at least you left two “big” imprints and not two “tiny” imprints for all to see. You gotta’ look for the silver lining!
