From the files of awwwww.

July 29, 2009 | Filed under: Stuff

I was going through my pics yesterday and found this. It’s from last year, one of Mountain Barbie’s first hikes. She’d go a few feet ahead of me and then stop and sit. Not our of obedience, mind you. But because she was a little bit lazy, and didn’t want to take more steps than absolutely necessary.

Oh my goodness, how I miss this little girl.

Awww. She was so cute and such a character. I wish I had “known” her earlier, but have been going back and reading her adventures. And giggle/snorting.

  9. sls-rainey says:

At least you have all the great memories and pictures. She may have had a short life, but she has fans far and wide, and she LIVED. Your pictures always seem to show she took pleasure in what she was doing right then. Wish I could learn to do that.

  10. Allie says:

A puppy picture!!! I love puppy pictures. Thank you for sharing this one again.

  11. trish c says:

Reminds me of my black lab when she was a puppy years ago. Take her for a walk and she would plop down and wounld’t move. I would end up carrying her!! lol She passed from lung cancer of all things!!!

It’s a tough world for dogs. Love you Mountain Barbie. I know you are somewhere right now playing with my Princess.

It’s very sad when you lose a family member especially a cute fuzzy one that was loyal and forgiving and loved to be scratched on the belly.

    Hey Jill
Went to the mall today & my hubby dragged me to the pet store. Normally its funy to watch those little puppies scramble around each other but today I couldn’t get MB out of my head. I had tears in my eyes most of the time. Don’t know how you do it. More((hugs))

  18. Diana says:

What a wonderful picture of an adorable dog!

  19. Victoria says:

I did say Awww. I’m sorry for your loss but glad that you had the wonderful experience of having her as a member of your family. Those are the memories you never forget. I just want you to know that I feel your pain. My dog is starting to show signs of kidney failure. So I’m thinking she’ll be put to sleep very soon. I’ll go visit my mom one day and she wont be there. So I want you to know that you and your family are in my thoughts. I hope it’s getting easier for you guys.
