What happens when you give a teenager your camera
July 27, 2009 | Filed under: Stuff
Dear Mom,
Thanks for letting me use your camera. Actually, I think your exact words were “take this and go outside and DO SOMETHING WITH YOURSELF!”
So I did. I call this a garage sale:

I call this next one “BORED OUT OF MY MIND”. I know you grounded me from using the word bored, so I looked up alternatives in the thesaurus.
Uninterested.
Fed Up.
Jaded.
Tedium.
Monotony.
Lethargy.

And I know you’ve said that I’m not supposed to blindly follow, that if someone is jumping off a cliff, I’m supposed to use my brain and not do the same. But I had to jump, mom.

So, today your camera. Tomorrow . . . your car? Pretty please?

LOL. Crazy kids. Gotta love ‘em. How fun that she did something creative with the camera. Might keep her away from the car though

Good one LOL. She inherited your looks AND your sense of humor.

Clever girl and good job on the thesaurus esp. when most folks probably think it’s something from the movie Jurassic Park. She’s got your sense of humor.

That’s great. I wonder where she got her sense of humor from. Poor baby, she’s young, pretty and it’s summer vacation…life’s hard(lol)

Great pictures! Of course she is bored, it’s summer break…no one really appreciates how great summer breaks are until they no longer get one.

I heard a back to school comercial on the radio this a.m. Take heart Jill soon she will be crazy busy again. Oh and considering what she did with the camera, I would hesitate on the car.

Love the creativity. Will she follow in your footsteps?
Mine’s 16 and we sent her to her grandparents’ for the summer to practice driving with THEM…! It has worked beautifully. She drives Dad to his fishing spots or his luncheons with the geezers, then pulls out her summer school homework until he’s ready to go home. A win-win situation.

I wonder where she got her imagination from ?
Posted on July 27th, 2009 at 8:13 amDo we have a future story teller/writer in training?
Should send her on a photo assignment, and find out what other kids are doing to occupy themselves, and stay out of trouble. Or follow somebody around all day, and tell us their story.

Hey, at least those are rather cool photos. I give my camera to my kids and I get 500 photos of the dog…

I don’t think anyone could be bored living where you live!!!
Summer will be over soon enough. Just remember that middle.
Love the photos

Middle, you know EXACTLY why you were on the scooter and not driving my car. Don’t make me tell on you …

LOL!

Oh, Middle is in trouble?
Do they know how lucky they are to have summer vacation? No need to answer as I already know. My youngest is always laughing about how anxious we all are to become adults to only find out that with that comes a ton of responsibility!
They do grow up, both of mine did. I’m happy to say they are wonderful adult women.

The garage sale pic shows such artistic ‘tude, how can you not love that! LOL
BTW – Read STORM WATCH on lazy, rainy Sunday a day ago. Mmm. Mmm. Mmm. Verra fine. I had to light a cigarette afterward, and I don’t smoke.

Your daughter rocks. I love her sense of humor – it’s much different than my sixteen-year-old son’s. Any time you need a day off from your blog she can totally fill in for you.
