I know how hard this is for you all Jill and I wish there was some way for anyone to make it better for you. Please know that our thoughts are with you in this very hard time. If you haven’t read “The Rainbow Bridge” before, now maybe a good time. We had a copy of this put in with our first dog when we lost him. It is sad, still makes me cry when I read it, but it is also very helpful. You can google it, or just go here… http://www.petloss.com/poems/maingrp/rainbowb.htm

I am new to your site but wanted to express my condolences on the loss of your sweet Mountain Barbie. These lovely creatures that God shares with us for too short a time make such a huge hole in our lives when they are gone. And a chocolate Lab, the best of all dogs, nothing in the world loves you like a Lab. I am so sorry for your loss.
