Original Post:
It’s been awhile since we’ve done this. Name the book of mine from which this excerpt takes place, and I’ll draw names for a free book. If you haven’t read me before, or if you don’t recognize the passage, that’s okay, you can still play. Just tell me you don’t remember or you haven’t yet tried me, and you’re still entered. Why? Cuz I like the comments, and I like to hear from you. Heck, I just like you, all of you.
Excerpt:
“Why, darlin’,” he murmured, bending his head so that his jaw brushed hers. “All you had to do was ask.”Yeah, yeah. She followed him back into the office, watching over her shoulder to see who was looking, shutting the door to give them some privacy. “Now.” But one look at Bo had the words falling right out of her head.
He was unbuttoning his shirt.
“What are you doing?”
“You said hurry.”
“No, I didn’t mean—“
His hands went to the buttons on his Levi’s.
Pop.
Pop.
“W—wait!” She forced her gaze up, up into his. “Seriously. I didn’t mean—“ But at the laughter in his eyes she trailed off, her eye twitching. He was messing with her. She slapped her hands over her eyes. “Get your clothes back on!”
P.S. Thanks for all the comments and well wishes on Middle. They were taken out in the last round of the semi-finals, darn it, but they didn’t go out without a fight. It was darned close! I’ll post pics and a full recount in the next few days.

Hi Jill!
Posted on February 23rd, 2009 at 4:54 amI read your blog regularly, I mean every single day. I stumbled upon it on day – somewhere I’ve read that it was nominated for the funniest blog. I haven’t read any of your books yet, but I have ordered Instant Attraction and eagerly awaiting for it to arrive. I’m sure it’s great because I really enjoy your blogs.
Tina L says:
I have only ready one of your books so far (and really enjoyed it) I have two more in my TBR pile so I don’t have a guess on the excerpt but I hope to read the book as soon as you let us know what it is.

Aussie Rules.
I read your blog everyday also – it is so entertaining and I love to hear about all your adventures. And when you do publish your “Erma Bombeck” type book, I will be the first to buy it.
If I may, here is my take on the Oscars:
I loved Hugh Jackman and the opening number. He was funny and boy he could really sing pretty well and not too hard on the eyes.
Didnt care for any of the dresses – some had actually nice bottoms but the top parts were strange.
Didnt seem to have many really top star presenters and some unusual pairings.
Clooney and Nicholson among the missing. (I did doze off a few times – so maybe I missed stuff). I know Clooney was in Africa but the coming attractions for the event showed him; so thought he would be there.)
Thought Anniston was a little uncomfortable; maybe because she had to look at Pitt right up front.
Hated Ben Stiller; totally stupid – according to yahoo it was some kind of inside joke.
Wasnt happy Slumdog won so many – didnt see the movie – sounded depressing to me – a lot of people thought it was great and some thought soso. I kind of like to see the wealth spread around. I guess since I didnt see it, I should not really comment on it.
Didnt care for the Steve Martin/Tina Fey presenter bit – thought it kind of stupid.
Was a bit too long as usual.
Glad they didnt present each song nominee in its entirety – hate all that dancing singing hoopla they usually do. And all the song sounded alike to me. Did any of them actually have any words?
Have a great day everyone even tho it is Monday or should I say, Moanday.

Ausie Rules, what a good read! Bo is yummy!
I’m sorry Middle & the team didn’t get to the finals. Glad they played as long as they did. Hope Middle is okay. I’m waiting to hear the story about the stitches.
My copy of Instant Attraction arrived in time for the weekend. I would have finished reading it but yesterday was mostly Oscar viewing for me!! Unlike Pat I enjoyed the program including the singing & dancing because after all it is about being entertained!! I grew up watching musicals, still love em!!!
Hugh Jackman was very yummy, I thought he was a good host. I loved the past winners giving a a presentation about the nominees, it was wonderful seeing all the past winners that came to be a part of the show. I missed seeing George Clooney, was he there?
Thanks for letting me babble on!!
Instant Attraction is really hard to put down. I’m loving it, especially the parts that make me laugh! With Jill’s considerable talent I’ve been laughing a lot!
