Instant Attraction

February 11, 2009 | Filed under: Stuff

I still haven’t gotten to a real brick and mortar bookstore to see my new book on the shelves. Luckily a few readers took mercy on me and sent me their pics. This from Andey from Columbus, Indiana . . .

Hi, Instant Attraction, you look so nice! And this one from Melissa in Texas:

I love that it’s facing outward. My, my he sure looks pretty, doesn’t he?

You know who else looks pretty? My neighbor, who has all his curtains open and all his lights on and he’s walking around without a shirt, painting walls. My girls brought this to my attention and we are absolutely not plastered to our window, watching him paint. Nope, we’re . . .

Sigh.

We’re plastered to our window, watching him paint. It’s cuz he has great technique.

Is too.

Update: Yes, the neighbor is VERY nice to look at, like Brad Pitt nice, and I couldn’t take his picture because I didn’t want to be arrested for stalking.

  2. Tabitha says:

I love the cover for Instant Attraction. I kept running my fingers over it, lol.

  3. Liza says:

I love the cover of Instant Attraction. Where is the picture of the cute painter?

  4. Andey says:

    Psst- that’s Columbus, Indiana.

I agree with Judy, can you get pics of the neighbor?

  5. Bailey Stewart says:

I always think your books look great faced out, which is why I face them out when I’m in the bookstore. Yeppers, the folks who work at my Borders really like me. NOT! But I don’t care …..

  6. Mental P Mama says:

…hmmmm. A shirtless dude painting. That could be a seed to a new masterpiece;) :bananadance:

  7. Laurie says:

Lucky you on the shirtless neighbor! I’ve seen some of our neighbors sans shirts, however, and I would have to tell them to close their blinds. Ewwwww

  8. Ashley says:

That book looks awesome faced out on the shelves.
Definately need a pic of the neighbor shirtless! We all love some good eye candy. Jill, does your camera have a good zoom????

  9. Tina says:

:hissyfit: I wanna see the picture of the cute neighbor too…. :hissyfit:

  10. Terry L. says:

    Hey Jill,

Which part of his technique do you like best :wigglebrow: ?

  11. trish c says:

I didn’t think you had any neighbors close enough to see through there windows. It was either at night or you and the girls weren’t looking at the stars through the telescope.

  12. sls-rainey says:

Ok as some one who is renovating her room I am thinking hmmmmmm… I looked like I was pulled behind a car thru the woods and Jill’s neighbor (a guy) looks GOOD painting.
It’s nice that you guys get a great view, but how do guys get away w/ looking good working and women just look like they shouldn’t go to the store before they clean up? My local hardwear store employees probably wouldn’t recognize me if I went in in NORMAL clothes, but they know who I am in my working getup. :wall:

  13. trish says:

Nothing like a handsome neighbour. I have a delicious neighbour who prowls around his backyard in a pair of perfectly faded cutoffs…

    Summer can’t come soon enough!

  14. Robin says:

Has he gotten paint splotches anywhere we should know about?

  15. Donna M says:

You really wouldn’t want to see any of my neighbors shirtless!! Really!!

Even if you don’t have a new book out I always look to see what Jill Shalvis books Border’s has on the shelf, then I turn them facing out!! They never have enough to make me happy!!!

Don’t fog up your windows watching the neighbor paint!!!!

  16. Karin says:

I love the cover for Instant Attraction. I only wish I had a cute neighbor who would take his shirt off with the windows open…

  17. Amy says:

Good call on not stalking the neighbor. LOL on the GIRLS pointing it out to you.

I’m sure his technique is lovely.

  18. catslady says:

You can’t tease us like that  We’d settle for a back shot so he wouldn’t know you were taking it.

  19. Stephanee says:

Take the damn picture! How else are you going to get inspiration for your new book?

  20. Suzanne says:

Where’s Alpha Man while this plastering is going on?

  21. Brandy says:

I want a neighbor whose “technique” I can admire! *G*

  22. limecello says:

Yay book1 And lol the neighbor – take a stealth pic! Do it! You know you want to ;)

  23. sarah says:

    Ah, good-looking neighbor. Nice. :)
My friend, Julie (who can usually be found hanging around your blog here), had this guitar-playing neighbor across the street, who didn’t seem to realize his bathroom faced the front of the house and the glass wasn’t frosted…
She admitted to turning her lights off to spy at night once or twice… ;)
