First of all.

I love him. Just love him. Something about those dark eyes that says he’s probably pure trouble, but that he’d absolutely be worth it. I’ve been struggling with a visual for my latest book and what my hero might look like. I must have changed him a million times. And then this weekend I watched Iron Man and one look into those eyes and my problem was solved. Ever since, the pages have been a flowing. So thank you, Robert. Can I call you Robert?
Anyway, BEFORE my new boyfriend Robert solved all my writing problems, I threw my laptop out my window and ran away to my favorite escape. Okay, I didn’t really throw the laptop out the window but I grounded it and put it in the corner and went to Donner Lake.

It sure is hard to be pissy while looking at a view like this. The funny thing is, one day we get a frigid 10 degree weather day, the next maybe four inches of snow, and then the next, today, we had nearly 60 degree weather!

I think Mother Nature is conflicted. Maybe over the economy, or hell, maybe someone ate all her cookies.

But on days like today, I’m inclined to forgive her.

Very pretty pictures. I am not in a forgiving mood with old mom there. After last weeks snow, ice and snow. We got 6-8 more inches of the stuff last night. So much for the dusting they said we were going to get. Grrr. :hissyfit:

I had the biggest crush on RDJR growing up. He was totally the bad boy and lived it, but he has this vulnerable quality that just drew me right in. Like his character from “THe Pick-Up Artist” with Molly Ringwald. Not the best movie, and he had a space between his teeth at the time, but I wanted to be Molly so bad LOL.
Winter, go away! Judy, I feel your pain. Right now we just have the frigid cold temps, and I’m praying no snow is on its way.
Jill, Donner Lake is breathtaking, even with all the snow. Who wouldn’t love that view?

That is so beautiful! But it looks too cold to hang out there!!

I’ve loved Robert for years! I tend to believe that someone took Mother Nature’s cookies. Do you think if we all gave her some more we could get some heat?

Oh, those views!!! Here in Richmond, we had 60 degree weather Monday, 36 on Tuesday and “snow” showers this afternoon (which means 5 minutes of flakes). My boys are missing playing in the snow….and me too. Weather around here is PMS-ing
Have a great day!

My weather is similar to Cindy’s though we got a little more snow last week than that area. We woke to an unexpected dusting this morning, too.
On the other hand, our views aren’t as pretty.
I never cared for Robert Downey Jr. I think it’s because in some of the first movies I watched he was a sloppy kisser which always icked me out. I haven’t seen Iron Man, but I’ve heard nothing but good things about it. My mom liked him in Tropic Thunder, too, though the movie was a little too crude for her.

Love the pictures. I’m jealous of your weather.
Can’t wait to read your book – now I’ll have a visual for the hero. : )

I LOVE Robert Downey, Jr. He was the only reason I was able to sit through Iron Man. He was/is so awesome. I am so glad he got his life together and is making movies again.
We are having a HIGH today in Atlanta of 30! It was 15 when I took my son to school. That is so not normal Atlanta weather. We are having our one day of real winter! Help!

You’re not alone in the Robert love. It’s his eyes, I think.
What beautiful pictures! It’s supposed to be in the 60′s here all week. And just when I get used to it and think that maybe winter is no more, the snow starts flying again.

I’m a fan of Robert’s too! Iron Man was one of my favorite movies of last year. I’m a little surprised he’s nominated for an Academy Award for his performance in Tropic Thunder, but he’ll definitely add some charisma to the show.
Those pictures are so beautiful! It is really gorgeous up there!

Hey snow on the ground and 60 degree weather so you can enjoy it? That doesn’t sound fair! In Central PA
Posted on February 4th, 2009 at 8:26 amwe had snow shower storms last night. It’s weird! Some towns got a foot, ours nothing, some 2 inches.
They say it’s really stange if you drive through multiple towns.

Georganna, for those shots I used a Canon Powershot Pro series S5. Love it.

I think we were supposed to get snow yesterday but it never came. It was sunny all day. I love when that happens but that means when it finally comes, it’s gonna be a lot. Yuck! Robert Downey Jr is pretty hot. I hadn’t noticed him so much til today. Glad you had a nice day at the lake!

We had snow all day yesterday, but on Monday it was in the 50′s and gorgeous. Mother Nature definetly needs cookies!! Not a Robert fan, sorry. :footinmouth:

I wasn’t that much of a fan of Robert before… but I LOVED him in Iron Man, something about being older just made him much more attractive. Good choice!

It seems like weather every where is not normal! We have had lots of sunshine & warm weather so far this winter, we need rain lots of rain. Starting March we are going to be put on water restrictions as this is are third year with low rainfall. This year so far is very low. We do have some rain coming in later this afternoon and through tomorrow but it doesn’t sound like it will rain much. We need at least 7 inches of rain in February which normally would not be a problem. Please Mother Nature, we all need a more normal winter.
Yesterday in my long winded post I mentioned reading an older book of Jill’s The Street Where She Lives. If you can track down a copy do so. It was very good reading. You can get used copies from Amazon, I checked! They also have almost all her books if you are looking for any back issues.
Jill, you will love this. Amazon has a new copy of The Street Where She Lives, a collectible on sale for $50!! Did you know you were that valuable?
Donner Lake looks gorgeous. The first time I saw it was in the winter. Your area is so beautiful.

Just sayin’.

Jil,Jill,Jill, did you st…uh..acquire all of Mother Nature’s cookies? If she finds out, that 60° weather is gonna be soooo gone!
I’m tempted to tell her ’cause it was 13° here last night! This is the South!?! Has she forgotten that?
Which hero is Robert representing? Will we see said hero soon?
