Monday’s Musings

Everyone likes a good snow storm. Middle and Youngest, for instance. I sent them out to shovel the walk. You can see that of course they did exactly as I asked.

Or not.
So I went out and gave it a shot. But damn, Mother Nature really came through, and I found myself using the camera instead of the shovel.

And look at this fluffy stuff. Gorgeous.

I took Ashes for a snowshoe hike and she beat me by a mile. But I don’t have four legs. That’s why. Cuz it’s absolutely NOT how much I ate while watching the Superbowl.

But not everyone was loving the weather. I accidentally locked Sadie out on the deck.

She not so accidentally shredded the toilet paper shortly afterward. That cat can hold a grudge longer than my mother in law.

ah poor Sadie…
Great pictures.
Our snow here in Ohio is slowing melting.

I’m with Sadie, because Jill, you’re wrong. Not everyone loves a good snowstorm. Some of us love sun and grass and flip flops way more. I admit, it’s pretty to look at, but give me 80 degrees anyday.
Hope Sadie didn’t shred your last roll.

Okay I have to tell you that coming from Texas, that snow is absolutely beautiful. I would love for it to snow like that just one time. So I got my copy of Instant Attraction in the mail Friday. Picked it up Saturday afternoon. I finished it at 2am. OMG! Loved it!!!! Can’t wait for the next one. Also took a picture of it for you at Barnes and Noble this weekend. As soon as I figure out how to get it off my phone I will send it to you.

The girls look like they had fun “shoveling the walk”!

Cats do seem to hold grudges. Mine dislikes my lap top when the fan runs, so she was very unhappy when I got my ebook copy of IA and didn’t even wait to transfer it to my reader. I just lay on the bed and read it right then. 11:32pm I finally shut down the lap top and she came down off the top of my dresser.
Jill I can’t wait for the rest. I was laughing so loud, my parents watching the Superbowl downstairs asked what was so funny. I almost emailed you right then and there when I finnished, but I would have had to get out of bed to get my wireless connection. So um I was too lazy and didn’t. LOVED the book!

Middle & Youngest do know how to have fun while working!!!
The pictures are gorgeous. Poor Sadie, I would hate being locked out for very long!
Here is my area it is flip-flop weather but we really need rain. We are going to be put on water restriction very soon due to lack of rain. This is the third year in a row that our rainfall has been below normal. There is some rain coming in later in the week but don’t know what kind of storm yet. Any moisture will be good.

Our snow here in western PA is melting a bit but we are supposed to get more this week. When the trees in our backyard were coated in ice last week, our dog wouldn’t do her ‘business’ in the back because the sound of the tinkling branches scared her.
 How about the Steelers!!!! Our school district operated on a 2-hour delay today so that all the kids that stayed up to watch the Super Bowl could sleep in a bit. Love that! (My kids did too!)

Oh, sorry, I forgot to wish everyone a very Happy Groundhog’s Day!! I grew up in Punxsutawney and every year, I bake groundhog shaped cookies for my kids. It’s one of those strange, but fun, traditions.

Wow, Sadie must have been exchanging messages with Little Miss. My daughter decided to unroll the toilet paper this morning. Usually, I roll it up after, but today, she exited the room taking half the roll with her before I could do anything. Because we were in a rush, there’s still a giant pile of toilet paper in her bedroom waiting for me to bundle up and toss.
Looks like fun though!

Today must be the day for toilet paper! I woke this morning to find that the cats somehow managed to get the toilet paper off the shelf we had it on (we stopped using the open ended wall holder a LONG time ago since they’d pick it up and carry it off) and took it to my LR to shred. *sigh*
Posted on February 2nd, 2009 at 2:01 pmYou’re more than welcome to send some of that snow here, my kids would love it!

I got away from snow this weekend. I went to Southern Utah and enjoyed 60 degree weather. Sorry you were stuck in the snow. At least the stuff is pretty!

Great pictures. Cats can be very devious. I wouldn’t have been surprised if she’d done that while someone was in there…

Beautiful pictures, Jill! Our snow here in Montana is pretty much melted off (for now). We’re supposed to have a week in the 60′s and then cold again starting next week. Not quite sure yet, though, when the snow is set to fly again.

Poor Sadie! I’m with Sadie. I don’t love a good snow storm either…I still have to work and no one in TN knows how to drive in snow.

Our snow is melting here in Eastern Kentucky as well. But we are supposed to get 2-4 more inches starting in the morning. School is already called off.
Pics are beautiful, looks a lot like it did here last week. And it’s much more fun to play in the snow than to shovel it
