Fun With Snow
February 27, 2008 | Filed under: Stuff
Wait, Ashes. Slow down. I think there’s a road sign . . .

Huh. No idea what it says. Must. Go. Closer.

Hard to concentrate on the road when the snow is so high one can’t read the signs!!

Good thing for optical zoom lenses. Mother Nature, pretty please? Can we PRETTY PLEASE STOP SNOWING? Because I’m feeling a bit like Noah, like I need a vessel to keep us afloat. And I’ve got some OCD kicking in, like I need to go to the store and hoard up on a year’s supply of cookies . . .

We got a bunch of snow here Monday night, and you’re right, I’m feeling like it’s “The Shining” around here, even though I live in a busy suburb not far from a tollway or an airport. I might almost welcom Jack Nicholson to terrorize me, just to liven up the place…

I am so ready for spring. I am tired of cleaning the ice off my car.

Better stock up on cookies for a few of us, Jill.
It snowed all day yesterday, snowed overnight and still is flurrying this morning.
I. Can’t. Stand. It. :wall:

I have only had two inches of snow the entire winter, and it was all at one time. I would welcome one snow storm, just so that it seems like winter. I hate the stuff, but love to look at it through my window as I sit by the fire with a book.

We got ice last night and then snow this morning. It looks really pretty right now, but since all the ice is under the snow, it is no fun to drive on it. I think cookies would have made the drive into work much better.

It’s been alternately raining and snowing here for the last several days… right now it’s snowing again. Everything looks wet and nasty here- even the cat only stays out for a minute or two.
At least it’s pretty where you are, Jill!

I’d welcome a dose of snow. Nothing stuck this year and I’m used to at least a couple days of it on the ground. I realize that’s a bit different from the road sign obscurring snow you have, Jill!

You want to know the first thought I had? It looks like the little male symbol, the arrow sticking up, which is a BIT Freudian…
We have snow here today. Flurries. You can see the flakes if you look really hard…

Aaron told me yesterday that it was snowing again, and to look out the window. I almost cried. No, really. I almost cried.

Holy crap that’s a lot of snow.
It was melting here for a few days, but I think we’re supposed to get another six inches this week. And here I was, looking forward to crocuses.

I noticed my site was down for a few hours this morning. Sorry for the inconvenience! Maybe my server is rebelling against Mother Nature too!

I’m glad you’re back up! I missed my morning dose of Jill!
We’ve had an unusually snowy winter in the Chicago area too. I don’t think as much as you’ve had, but I’m just as tired of it. I am so ready for spring.

Don’t hurt me!
Yesterday it was hovering around 70 & I ate lunch outside with my grandson! We had an interesting afternoon, he is 18 and I love hearing his mind work!! He has a girlfriend, he did not consult me on this & I’m having to adjust to it!! :rotfl: We have more sun today, the daffodils are blooming, the flowering plums are starting to bloom & it is glorious. Despite how much I’m loving all this beauty the fall is still my favorite time of year.
Posted on February 27th, 2008 at 12:09 pmJill, shouldn’t you be getting this sun & won’t it melt off some of the snow? It is so hard to imagine that much snow, it has been quite the winter for your area.

Good news!!! I am pretty sure these guys can make it through with your cookies…. even with all the snow.

Someone at work was selling G.S. cookies, who do you think I immediately thought about?

We’ve been getting a couple of inches here and there but nothing to complain about. Actually we’re below our average. Although I am ready for spring lol.

That is so much snow. I was listening to the radio earlier and they were naming off ski sites that had still so much snow around here – and thought of you and all the snow that you have. Hope that Mother Nature co-operates and quits dumping on you…….

Ashes is so cute! And, like all the best dogs, very enthusiastic.
By the way, your blog came up over on my blog today. Thought you’d want to know. (It’s all good stuff, of course.)

I hope it helps some. And you deserve the traffic; yours is one of my favorite blogs. It makes me laugh–but only in the best of ways.
