I'm not sure I'd say it's a fantasy getaway, but I've always wanted to see the Matterhorn in Switzerland. I've seen the one at Disneyland, but that doesn't count. I've even made it to Switzerland, but I was the only one in the family who wanted to go and we had limited time. Some day I'll get there. I've learned from my parents (who have been back to Switzerland a few times but never managed to see the peak of the Matterhorn) that the Matterhorn is best seen in Spring or Summer since in winter it is often too cloudy to see the top!

My fantasy is a beach somewhere (maybe Mexico) with my children and my husband. It is a calm, white beach and it is warm and perfect outside. I am really thin and I look amazing in my swimsuit (YOU SAID FANTASY!!). My kids and I are playing in the sand and having so much fun.
At night, my husband and I get to go out and partay! We must have brought our non-existent babysitter.
We spend a whole week simply playing and resting and enjoying one another. Ahhh.

I think it would be nice to get away somewhere that is warm, with beach and a shaddy place to read. I really need a vacation.

Ohhhhhhh, and for all the ones on here that are in the double diget warmth of 80 or more - all I can say is  since our temperature today got to a whooping 2C (35F). :rotfl:

Some place warm sounds heavenly. Like you, I'm sick of the snow. We may not have had quite as much as you, but at 86 inches and counting (another 4-8" tonight), we're nearly triple our seasonal average. Triple! Even 60 degrees would be nice right now...

Oddly enough, I would not pick Hawaii. Hubby lived there for three years as a teenager, and I have strong objections to cockroaches that fly.

I rather like your morning getaway, Jill. Mountains, snow, and unbelievable scenery. I have mountains here where I live, in south central PA, but we're woefully short on snow. Guess I never grew out of loving the snow after growing up in upstate NY....
