I am sure there is a secret to enjoying the Christmas rush, but I don’t know it. My usual mode of relaxation has been snatched out from beneath me – TV. Anyone else sad to find nothing good on to watch except reality shows? Don’t get me wrong, I love a good reality show. Survivor and Amazing Race are my two top faves, which is why the other night was a double insult – I had to choose between the Survivor China finale and Amazing Race. Not. Fair.
I have recently found the love for Project Runway but then someone lost the remote and I ended up glued to a show that’s been around for awhile.
The Dog Whisperer. Best. Show. Ever. Everything that is wrong in this house can be fixed by watching this show. All I have to do is learn to be calm assertive, two things I’ve never in my life been. Do they make a pill for that?

Since I don’t watch much t.v., this whole thing doesn’t bother me. And I was never a ran of reality t.v., so I still find no reason to tune in. Let’s me read (“Strong & Sexy” anyone?) – and blog – more.

If they do make a pill for that, I could use it. It’s been a bad couple of days.
I’ve been catching all of those cheesy Christmas movies.

I miss my show too! The only reality show I watch anymore is American Idol, and it doesn’t even start until January. I have always read while I watched tv, so now I’m just reading through the re-runs.

Bailey….LOL on the Christmas movies! And may I add a big “Me, too!” ?? I’ve been watching quite a few of those.
Posted on December 19th, 2007 at 8:48 amAnd DVDs. Lots of DVDs..of questionable taste. Can we say “Blades of Glory” and “Who’s Your Caddy?”?? :rotfl:

I don’t have many shows I watch. It’s sad when all you get is network TV. I’m going into Bones withdrawal and CSI is going into reruns now. My new show, Big Bang Theory, is in reruns. I hope the strike doesn’t impact it too much, cuz it’s such a good little show. *sigh*
Time to dig out my Firefly DVDs and watch them over again.

Naomi, great choice!
I’ve been going through my dvd’s, watching the cheesy movies (some Xmas, some not) and knitting at home more than anything.

Yes, I miss my TV shows! All of them! Reality shows are not my thing- – -That’s reality!!!
I do watch Dancing With The Stars which some say is a reality show??!!
When my favorites are repeats I either watch or switch over to HGTV (love HGTV) or watch a movie or read.
Posted on December 19th, 2007 at 10:44 amI’m off to do some shopping! No, not Christmas, food & necessities, nothing much fun!
Last night on TV on the weather they kept showing a shot in Truckee by the scales, snow!! I know all the resorts are happy. I hope you are enjoying it.

Naomi, that’s a wonderful choice. I think I’ll dig mine out too!
Um, Angie – yeah, pretty questionable.

Can I admit that since all the reruns have started, I’ve started watching Martha Stewart?
Posted on December 19th, 2007 at 2:58 pmAnd I am usually assertive and calm with my family, I then morph in upset and loud when they don’t listen. *g*

The only two I watch are Survivor and Dancing with the Stars so I’m going through withdrawal. I’m afraid I’m not assertive and rarely calm lol.

Since I am not a TV watcher – this has not affected me. I usually watch the hockey games and football games on the TV, and then pretty much read the rest of the time.

I miss my TV shows but the upside is that I’m reading more and discovering new authors-to-me.

Oh don’t even get me started…… I’ve been seriously thinking of writing Grey’s and telling them I’ll work for 1/2 what the other writers were just to get some more McDreamy. Ugh!
Confession…. I’m watching sappy Christmas movies too…. mostly Hallmark and Lifetime. I’m going to expect Prince Charming in my stocking if this keeps up much longer.
And ditto Donna. Crazy how Amazon pulls up books from MY wish list when visiting YOUR website. Do you suppose they know what I made for dinner last night?

I’m having a bit of difficulty reading the ending of the article. The last paragraph gets split halfway finished. You should have a look at that.Nonetheless, the rest of the read was outstanding!
