Your Happy Spot (not that one!)
October 10, 2007 | Filed under: Stuff

So here’s the tree I worked under today. Some days are harder than others, and lately it’s been harder than easier. I’ve had to offer myself little rewards for sticking to my writing. Today’s reward? Mother’s Double Fudge cookies. When I wrote my pages, I rewarded myself with cookies. Call it my own little happy place. A gorgeous day, a cute tree to work under, and cookies.
If you were giving yourself a reward today, what would it be? What’s your happy place?

A large McD’s vanilla iced coffee…or a big slice of German chocolate cake. Sounds like the perfect breakfast to me.

A nap in a hammock with a fuzzy blanket and a slave standing ready to rock it as needed… :whip:

A snickerdoodle from Christie Cookie and a large mocha from Starbucks…then leaving work and going home to nap and read all day.

I definitely need some time there today– but my “happy spot” is the new home for which I’m searching, so I won’t get there today!

A large slice of flan cake or cheesecake either will do, coffee and a good book to read.

Since today will be spent in chem lab…I’d rather be in a comfy chair, with a book (one of your upcoming ones) and peanut butter mini choco chip cookies.
Thanks for the one minute sanity break. I’ll need it.

A Black & Tan from the local pub, a nap, or a chocolate chip cookie dough blizzard from DQ. Of course, books are huge rewards, but I overindulge in them…lol

My happy spot would be lounging on the couch in my sunroom. Fall sunshine and a Diet Coke – two simple things that never fail to take me to a good place!

No doubt, something yummy from LUSH and a nice long bath while reading a great book. My happy spot is that bath!

My happy spot is most anywhere along the ocean! It restoreth my soul.
One of my favorite places is Mendocino or along the bluffs at Bodega Bay. Since I can’t always go there, a good book, a mocha or fresh brownies or chocolate chip cookies.

In bed with a good book without a doubt. And some of my cats, preferably purring lol.

A slice of Godiva Chocolate Cheesecake from the Cheesecake Factory. (Also available at B&N’s cafe.) *g*
Best of luck with your writing today!

after the day I had I would like to have a day when I could tell people off and they don’t remember it afterwards. LOL
My happy place is any where I can read a book

It sounds like Judy F. and I had the same day! My happy place would be slapping the machine shop managers face and then going home! :fryingpan:
