That is so pretty…You can get Taco Bell at the grocery. LOL

I can see the appeal, though I admit to love living near the city. Not that I’m a people person (I’m not) but I love the convenience, the rush of traffic, the 5 bookstores within 5-7 miles of me. What can I say, I am all about the material things in life. And a close McD’s for some vanilla iced coffe :hyper:

I would love to have that view…but I do enjoy being able to go to multiple bookstores and coffee shops, all of which are within 10-15 min from me.:)
Posted on September 11th, 2007 at 6:02 amI live in Columbus,OH which allows me be close to tons of shopping and restaurants, but at the same time be able to get on the highway and be in farm country just as fast. Best of both worlds:)
Bailey Stewart says:
I can certainly see the appeal.

Nope. Sorry. Don’t care how pretty skies are. It’s wilderness with bugs, and tigers, and bears, oh my! Give me cramped, crowded, noisy, polluted but REALLY convenient city living anytime. So long as I don’t get shot at and the rats stay in the subway tracks, I’m good.
And yeah, I worked next to the Taco Bell counter at my college dining hall. You don’t wanna know what THAT experience was like.

Isn’t that lovely? I live in a suburb of Cleveland–gray and rainy today, lucky me!–and I miss the big open skies of my growing up.
Someday, I hope to return to “the sticks” if I can convince Sweetheart…

What? There isn’t a Taco Bell on the mountian top yet? Strange. Very strange.

Your lungs will thank you in the long run for having left L.A. Midnight runs for chalupas are highly overrated anyway…

Nothing like a bright blue sky to make everything right with the world.

Beautiful sky.
I’ve never regretted moving from the city – it’s a worthy trade.

We moved from Seattle out into the boonies and whenever we go back for a visit, I am always feel like I am trapped inside a video game–the traffic in Seattle is pretty incredible. Where I live now, the only major traffic we have is after the fireworks on the 3rd of July (not a typo!).

I’m with you, Jill! Just on the opposite coast.

Oh man, I was so tempted to stay during our hiking trip to Desolation. It’s just unbelievably beautiful–the views, the water, the clean air.
My husband and I were weighing the possibilities of moving up there from the city, but that whole snow shoveling thing may have killed the deal!

I’m sure you don’t miss the traffic and pollution. I’ve always lived in the suburbs. Just used to it I guess. I always thought I’d like to live in a little town where things were in walking distance – like a book store lol.

I just moved from the country to a small town. Can still see the sky, moon and stars!

I would gladly live in the boonies. *G*

Beautiful picture & I don’t think you have given up a thing by not having a Taco Bell nearby!
Posted on September 11th, 2007 at 3:34 pmI have the best of both worlds, in my humble opinion! A small town that attracts tourists, neat little shops, but expensive & geared toward the tourist, coffee shops & good restaurants close enough to walk to,wine country, rural area about a 5 minute drive away, ocean about an hours drive, a small city about 14 miles away & a big city about 70 miles away! The mountains are further away but still easily reachable for the weekend. The weather is wonderful, most of the time. No complaints about where I live. Oh yea, there is a Taco Bell about 5 miles down the road & I get my fix from time to time.

Wow, that’s so pretty… it seems like you always post gorgeous pics of where you live! Seems like a great place to raise kids =) My family just moved to a really small town and we live in the middle of nowhere ha, it’s really nice, with the beautiful scenery like you have, BUT everything is soooo far away and the only thing to do is visit the Super Walmart a few towns over ha… oh well!

Since we go skiing at Squaw nearly every spring and we stay in South Lake (casinos) I knew we had eaten at Taco Bell so I got on line to see where it was (my short term memory sucks) and there is one on South Lake Shore Drive but, I also found one only 17 miles from Truckee (we shop there when not skiing) it is in Verdi, NV. Never heard of it but probably have driven through it. There are also 6 in Reno if you ever venture that far. I myself am a Taco Bell girl and felt compelled to help. Actually that sounds good for supper tonight!
