Good-bye Summer, I’ll miss you

September 4, 2007 | Filed under: Stuff

This is the last picture of the last run on the lake last night, just as the sun was setting. It’s Middle Daughter, eating shit quite spectacularly. God, she’s entertaining … Anyway, hope you all had a great Labor Day weekend. I did. But now that it’s over, and so is summer, I feel sad. Feel free to send cookies to cheer me up.

sniff I am sad too. I don’t wanna go back to work today…..I need cookies too

  2. Stacy ~ says:

Oh, I am feeling depressed, and could seriously use some cookies. I know there’s still several nice days left, with sun and temps in the 80′s, but they will soon dwindle to nothing. I want to move to Hawaii…or anywhere without hurricanes, really.

  3. Melanie says:

I agree that it is sad summer is almost over. My son started school last week so I’ve already gone through the pain of having to get up earlier to get him ready. But just think about all the new season’s of shows coming soon! And the DVD of Grey’s Anatomy Season 3 is going on sale NEXT WEEK. :bananadance:

I’m just trying to decide if I’m going to watch the Grey’s spinoff…whatever it’s called. (Still not finished my coffee yet). The one with Addison.

    Anyway… Love the picture!

  4. Sandy J says:

What a spectacular picture! It always feels like fall to me once Labor Day is over.

  5. Laurie says:

I had a great summer and (sort of) hate to see it end, but I love fall and all of the colors, smells and festivals and accompany it – if only winter didn’t have to follow so closely on fall’s heels. My condolences to everyone who is mourning the end of summer!

  6. Alice Audrey says:

Cookies for everyone! I’m feeling great! The kids to back to school today.

  7. Susan says:

Yikes, it looks like Middle really wiped out! I love the Fall, so I’m not too sad.

  8. Suzanne says:

Aw, poor kid, LOL! Great picture, though!

  9. kristen says:

    Great picture.

Cookies. Hmmm, wonder what recipe I’ll dust off and make once the darling minions are back in school tomorrow. Hmm, maybe I better have Girl bake them since I’m so rusty at that. ;)

  10. Cryna says:

Looks like middle daughter was wiping out. Yeah it is sad to see the summer go, but I like this time of the year when the evenings are cool, but the days are warm……….just hate to know that winter is not that far away……..

  11. Ellen says:

    What a great picture!

I’m sad to see summer go as well, though the crisper weather is nice for a change.

  12. Donna M says:

    Great picture!
Since I am not a lover of HOT I don’t mind if summer ends, but don’t get all depressed it really isn’t over! Depending on where you live there is lots of good weather ahead, enjoy. The kids back in school is a good thing. Cookies sound good but it is going to have to cool down more before I do any baking!
I love the fall, it is my favorite time of year. Winter where I live is mild so no complaints.
The new programs will be starting, yea! Something new to watch in the evenings.

  13. kim h says:

nice pic. bye summer. so fast

  14. Brandy says:

Cute picture. Don’t get mad, but I love Fall and am eagerly awaiting it!

  15. Ericka Scott says:

Oh, move to the high desert of California and have summer until 31 October. without fail, it’s hot until Halloween and then miserable that day (rain and cold). Bleh.

  16. Diana says:

Sigh. Summer is indeed over for me. Today was the first day of school at my work. It was fun to meet a new group of little kids.
