Watching my husband smile at me when he comes through the door after work. It just reminds me of how nice it is to be loved.

Pretty much perfect – I’d add your baby’s first smile, watching clouds, watching a storm at night – oh, and fireworks!! (Especially if you’re not the one who’s organised the display and panicking that you’ve got enough/too much food and other entertainments…)

Hi, Jill.
You just about named them all. Especially holding your baby or I hope sometime in near future, my grandchild.
Add to the list:
1. Seeing your daughter get married. (I never will forget that joyful day – almost 2 mos ago.)
2. Finding out a medical problem wasnt as bad as you feared.
These 3 are frivolous but good too!
3.Receiving books in the mail – lol
4.Finding out you won a book you really wanted
5. Buying books at Borders when they have a nice discount cpn and you have gift certifs to boot.
Have a great weekend all.
Off to the mall for me.

P. S.
Regarding finding $20 in your pocket – I have done that.
But several mo ago I couldnt account for $80 (what I had spent it on) from my newly cashed paycheck. Severl mos. later I found it in another purse. I had put it aside in a diff. purse when going on a day trip with my friend.:wall:

I’ve the $20 thing. The other day I gave my $20 for the 2 rolls of quarters they sent over and he was trying the figure out where to put it so he wouldn’t forget it. He did that on a recent trip out to the maritimes. Put money in a pocket and forgot about it.

A wet sloppy kiss from your child. The moment the man you love asks you to marry him. The moment the doctor confirms you’re pregnant. The first time you hear your child cry (in delivery). I think mine are all too mushy.

Liking your children as adults (yes, you love them, liking them is different). Your grandchildren running to see you yelling Grandma, Grandma! The birth of each healthy child & grandchild. Reading a book by a favorite author, re-reading a book by a favorite author. I could go on!! This makes us pause and think how much we need to enjoy the simple pleasures in life.

Other things: Five minutes at the end of the day to stargaze; leaving for work on a rainy morning and seeing a rainbow in the rear view mirror; finding out that your teenage nephews think you’re a cool aunt.
I love your list, Jill!
