So today we begin babysitting Hula for 10 days. Hula is a six week old holy terror/princess, and too cute for words. Here she is meeting Ashes, who is thinking she looks very … tasty. Hula is saying “I know I’m adorable, but please don’t eat me for lunch.”

  1. Kate Hardy says:

Cute pic! But I wish you a lot of patience for the next 10 days if Ashes feels the same way about cats as Byron does: bark at cat, bark a bit more in case you hadn’t noticed, then bark again just to remind you that there is a cat intruding on his territory!

  2. eve says:

Ahhhh how cute. But knowing kittens, it will probably be the other way around – watch out Ashes.

  3. Toni Anderson says:

My dog would run a mile!!!

  4. Danni says:

Aww, kitties are so cute before they get big and fat and attitude-y. We used to have a couple until mom’s allergies got too bad. I miss having cats around.

    Have fun!

  5. Robyn says:

Looks like Ashes is standing his/her ground
and saying ‘this is my place and don’t you forget it’. Have fun!!

  6. Carol says:

I love the picture! Hula is going to keep everyone on their toes, including Ashes! Have fun!

  7. Sara says:

Omg! Too cute! I can’t wait to hear how they get along for the next 10 days.

  8. Donna M says:

That will be new material for your blog! I hope they get along okay. Our dogs & cat got along okay–what choice did they have!

  9. Susan says:

Our poor dog is up against two cats. Neither cat likes him and they take great delight in ganging up on him.

  10. Judy F says:

Oh how cute. Now don’t go teaching Hula any bad words. LOL

  11. Sandy J says:

She is adorable! And so is Ashes! Can’t wait to hear how they get along.

  12. Brandy says:

Recently rescued a 6 week old kitten from being taken to the pound, introduced her to our 4 other cats, and have been LMAO ever since. GOOD LUCK! One thing about kittens, they play with everything!

  13. Mik says:

    I  kitties.

  14. Suzanne says:

Awwww. I want to babysit Hula!!

  15. Shesawriter says:

OMG, how cuuuuute! Waving to Hula!

  17. jeanne says:

Awwww so adorable. We had a wonderful mutt who never said a word as I brought in eventually 5 strays/ferals. One was only a few weeks old and soooo small and she was sooo gentle with him.
